Okeetee or no?

He's cute. My first corn was a normal. I love the classics.

I overheard one pet store clerk tell a customer that the amel hatchling would lose its red and turn white like a snow. I quickly corrected this misinformation and earned a sarcastic remark from the blow hard.

Always double check anything you hear from a pet store.

HAHAHAAA!!!,.......yes, I TOTALLY agree with that. I find that most pet store clerks know just enough to be dangerous. Giving out gross misinformation more often than not to their customers.

Glad you corrected the moron!

Wow beautiful snake! I am still learning on the morphs! She looks like some of the classic corns i have seen! I hope StanLee is that beautiful when he grows up LOL

Yes, in my opinion, that particular cornsnake would fall into the "Okeetee phase" category because of it's rich reds and oranges and well-defined black blotch borders.

Very nice!

Thanx for clarification and kompliments. She is the most beutifull normal corn that i´we ewer saw in vivo!
And, beautifullywild77, i hope that your StanLee grows like that to! he is nice looking little fella!

I just checked on him and he has shed! He is about 14 inches long now and his colors have become even more rich! I fed him just now too so I will get pictures in a couple of days

it is wery exciting to oserved how they develope their colors with ewery shed, as they growe. cant wait to see your update!

my girl could be "Okeetee" or just "Okeetee Phase" not sure, she did come from a state-side breeder, but the lady couldn't tell me which one, so I can't contact them to find out specific lineage (which sucks) Either way, she's gorgeous!!

When I got my corn snake Seth I was told he was an Okeetee (local pet store) and of course he turned out to be a normal too lol, but I like him just the same. He has quite the personality.

So my question is, would you describe that colour as Okeetee phase?

Here are some pics of her:

Your snake look like okeetees looked 20 years ago. Today selective breeding have developed the okeetee lines to have wider black borders.
It is a very beautiful snake.

Farmgirl your snake is the very definition of "Okeetee phase" corn snake, jmho and would be a great candidate for a wide-bordered (Extreme) Okeetee project. Dejvid snake has more going on than just looking like an old school Okeetee; that orange "airbrushed" look is really sweeet :*)

Both those guys are sure awesome :)

Thanx to both for kompliments!
Well i dont actually know what is the status of okeetees in EU (continental part), but she is a snake with the widest and most intensive black borders that i ewer saw at expo. So i hawe no choise but to get her :D
Till after i bought her i saw other colour and i only liked her more! :)
