One for the Bite Club - I'm proud of this one! *pics*

You have got to give us some updated pics! How bruised is it? Prepare future keepers for what might happen to them.

Here ya go! These are weird looking because of the harsh lighting.

Wow! Nice tag! Lol. Do you by chance have a picture of Casper too? I kind wanna see what this bad boy looks like. :p

I don't have any pics of Casper, but I'll get some when I go back to make with him! I promise!

He's a beautiful albino boa! :)

NICE!!! Congrats on getting into Bite Club with THAT kind of bite. I'm pretty surprised at the bruising... of course I've never been bitten by anything even CLOSE to that big!!!

Nice pics! :)

I got nailed by my Red Tail a few months back. She was only 3 feet or so, and my instinctual reaction to pull back drew a nice little gash into my arm. It has since healed, and there were no ill effects to Hera. :D Who still tries to take a munch of my arm when I pick her up. :D

Oh, this isn't my first entry.... LOL. ;)

I get bitten regularly by one of my corns (adult), but nothing of this magnitude.

Sorry... I should realize that not all Bite Club entries are "first time" bites. :)

Just a question, though... was the bruising caused by the bite itself or the force of the strike that accompanied the bite? Just very curious. :)

In this case, Fred, I think it was the bite itself, because he did not hit my very hard or from very far back. He just kind of brought his head around and clamped on, and then chewed once. Might be from the chewing?

Could be. It looks like blood vessels were definitely pierced/lacerated below skin level... causing the hemmorhaging beneath the skin. I AM sure that must've hurt like crazy and that it probably took a good bit of self-control to keep from reacting negatively to the bite. Kudos to you!

Teehee, thanks! I just knew that pulling away was the WORST thing to do, and then luckily Casper was a gent and let go.

Tara got bit on the arm by Carlos the BCI once. It looked a lot like that... bit smaller 'cuz he was smaller then. She said it hurt like mad, though.

That is definitely a bite to be proud of.
