Ostrich Wranglin'

We've tried over and over to get her up. Unfortunately, I think there is significant muscle wasting. We could always try to produce some sort of sling to pick up this 200+ pound girl, but it couldn't be able to support her forever.

I have some news on Woody...

SHE STOOD UP AND WALKED AROUND!!!

This is so amazing and crazy! I went to feed her this morning, she started to try to get up like normal...and she made it all the way up. Then she was walking around like nothing had ever happened. I was kicking myself for leaving my camera in the car. I came back 10 minutes later and she was back down again. But this is some amazing progress!

YAY WOODY!!! I'm glad to hear she's on the mend :D I love how animals scare you by getting super sick and then randomly start getting better and act like it was no biggie. Hee!

Yes, we are all so proud of her!

When I went back out there and she was down again, I spent a good 10 minutes trying to get her to stand back up. I gave up after that...she probably used almost all her strength when she was up. We're so excited and will try again tomorrow!
