Painting the tails

Hmm, we just finished checking genders on our snakes (have not fixed the sig line yet) and seems our only 2 males are both Amel! Amel with NO known hets! I will have to keep REALLY good records to know who the father was when I breed in the future. At least they will have a variety of chicks to choose from lol! Anyway, right now I don't have to deal with who is what gender. Sigh :(

So far I've not had this problem, but when I breed my project trio of multihet siblings I will, so thanks for the thread, Wade. I'll go with the nail-polish dot idea.

Why thank you! I did too and it bothers me a bit that noone jumped on the name tag bandwagon. Everyone has to be like Wade. Typical. :nope:

D80

I think it is the other way around....Wade has to be like me.

If you can tell me where I can get those nametags that size and with enough sticky on them to hold....I'm in!

I think its amusing to put the nail polish on the boys. C'mon, how many guys wear nail polish? It should go on the girls. :sidestep:

True...and I honestly thought about that. HOWEVER, when my male is going to be a stud and hook up with mutiple females...it's just easier to keep track of him. ;)

I like the name tag idea! But I would go with the nontoxic paint marker. I hate the smell of nail polish and since snakes lick the air to smell just...ugh.

I like the name tags too!
It must make the snakes feel more relaxed that they don't have to remember the name of their partner for the evening! ;)
