Peach Fuzzies vs. Fuzzies

Were the only problems broken limbs/tails?? Were the mice still edible, or am I basically flipping a coin as to whether or not I am throwing away $50?

Broken limbs are going to happen, that wasn't my problem. The problem I had was that both times the "fuzzies" in bag ranged in size from large pinks to large hoppers. Quite a size difference. The other problem I had was that on the 2nd time they didn't put enough dry ice so one bag of pinkies completely thawed out and was useless. They refused to resolve the problem. Poor product and poor business practices.

As I'm sure others would agree with me; order from somewhere else. It's a gamble with Rodent Pro.

As for dry ice fun; the hotter the water you pour on it the more "smoke" that comes up. So make sure you put hot water on it. Also try putting some in zip loc bags; as the ice sublimates into gas the bag will pop; although this is usually more fun for the kids (but I enjoy it too!). :)

Man am I lucky to have my own mouse supplier just down the road from me!! I can pick and choose the ones I want, he euthanises them and puts them, neatly stacked side by side in butcher paper and then a plastic bag. Good quality, good service and all within 10 minutes of me. Cheap too! I just couldn't believe how much shipping was costing me to get some mice from the frozen mouse suppliers!

The problems I had with Rodent Pro went way beyond a few broken limbs and inconsistent sizing.

First off, it took two weeks to get my order. The don't vacuum pack their rodents, so I couldn't order several months worth of mice ahead of time. Not only that, but the bags had cuts/slits in them. Then there was the inordinate amount of feces and bedding in with the mice. I understand that some is unavoidable, but this looked like they put half the bedding from the cage in there. Finally, several of the mice were frozen together in a large block of yellowish ice, that when thawed smelled suspiciously of urine.

Now I order from Mouse Factory or Big Cheese. I call and get a price quote from each of them, and order from whichever is cheapest.

Wow! After hearing all your RodentPro stories, I'm glad I get to see mine before I buy. If they didn't have a booth at the show, I'd probably be ordering from one of the other guys.

Thanks for this thread, A While back I was considering ordering from RodentPro. Then I found a supplier out in the city. Yea, it takes about 40 minutes roundtrip, but its well worth it. He uses c02 to kill his mice, and he charges next to nothing for pinks and fuzzies.

Why I like The Mouse Factory:

I sent in an email on Wednesday, listing what I needed and asking for a PayPal invoice. They telephoned me on Thursday morning to let me know that was their last shipping day until next Tuesday, and that my order could be shipped that day if it was paid prior to 12:00 Central Time. They had already sent me an invoice and an email, but I am a late riser, so hadn't read them yet. If they hadn't done me the courtesy of calling while there was still time to get my order out yesterday, I would would have been too late. I paid the invoice, my mice arrived this morning, and the quality was a top notch as the service. Their location (Texas) makes their shipping charges to me (California) lower than most others. I am getting very good feeders at a good price, as well as friendly, professional service. I'd recommend them to anyone.
