Is it true that "generally speaking" the babies will come out bigger and somewhat stronger since they basically hatch when there good and ready when not using an incubator??
No.... They will only grow to a specific size...
Though temps can influence pattern in IJ's.... Hence the spider IJ that hasn't proved out, as of yet...
Whether it influences other species IDK

Mike, have you got pictures of those babies all together somewhere?

I am surprised how many people don't use incubators. I still have a bit of a wait with it being day 24 on the corns and day 14 for the leo egg.
 
Aww I love pippies! I actually had no idea that you could forgo the use of an incubator...cool! :)

Wild snakes don't lay in incubators, so if you can more-or-less re-create the wild conditions without an incubator, it ~ought~ to work. Mind you, my knowledge is all theoretical. But I am pretty sure I read that Kathy Love incubates at ambient temperatures, and maybe she will come correct me if I'm wrong.
