Thanks y'all. Crackerhead, in your experience does being heterozygous for caramel slightly reduce the pinks in peppermint adults? I know it is recessive but some recessives have an effect on "sensitized backgrounds" that are already missing other pigments, and I've never seen a peppermint het caramel in person.
 
I haven't noticed any change in the color of the animals that are Het for Caramel in this particular morph.

Terri, do you see a sex difference? My female is _super_ pale compared to the males, but she's the only normal pattern, too. And I think she is actually pale in comparison to all other females. Her amel offspring are quite bright, as you'd expect or even more so, due to their red factor father.
 
I've noticed in the Peppermints, Buttermints and the Striped versions of these morphs have a distinct difference between the males and females, It reminds me of the differences we see in male and female Lavenders. Some of the females have washed out patterning as well as color. Cinder is a funky gene!
