Pics of my Pits

I have a pair of northern pines and I absolutely adore them!!

Your snakes are the bomb!!! gorgious!!!

The thing I like best about the pines is the look they always have on their faces. They always look so grumpy! lol Its adorable.

:O That first female is *amasing*.

Thanks.:) She is a Leucistic and a sweetheart.

Love the second female and the second male! Are they hypo?

Thanks.:) They do have a "Hypo look", which is something that attracted me to each of one of those two, but I don't believe they are.

Awesome kids there Deb!
I love pits too!

Thanks Gene.:) Yep, Pits are great!

Wow they are so gorgeous. I don't know a lot about these snakes. How are they to own and handle?

Thanks.:)
I think Gene covered the care/handling and I agree with him.
It is true that Pits can have a tendency to be hissy but, most times, it is just a bluff.
Only one of mine is hissy, but only before picking up/handling (where he stops hissing), but all have great temperaments and are great about being handled.
Handling other Pits has been a great experience as well.
They sure have a different feel, from Corns, though. You can also really feel the strength in adults.

Beautiful snakes... I like the 2nd and the 3rd female the best ;)

Thanks.:)

They are so cool! I love the white female and the pink male the most.

Thanks Nanci.:) The white female is a Leucistic and the pink male is a Pink Leucistic.

Awesome looking snakes! I was/am tempted by a few of their "cousins" for sale around here... but I've been resisting.

VERY nice additions, Deb!!!!

Thanks Fred.:) You have done better than I did. My will power didn't prove strong enough.LoL
'Course, this just means that you are going to have to give in. Like Mike said, everyone should have a Pit or two.;)

Based on the thread's title I wasn't sure if you meant pituophis or pit bulls. Either way, I had to look. Those are some of the nicest pits (snake variety) I have ever seen.

LOL I can see where you might have thought the canine variety.
Thanks, for the very nice comment.:)

Yep, although it does not really match their actual temperament, their facial expression is great.LoL

Great looking bunch Deb!!:cool: Ours are brumating it's nice to see some now.

Thanks Tom.:)
I, as you can see, do not have them in brumation this season. I had an individual who really wants/wanted me to breed my Leucustic female (with interest in a baby or two), but I am not going to. I feel she needs a little more age/growth yet.
