Platinums on the ground!!

Great clutch Brent. Those Platinum's are smokin'! The Powders are a definite plus. Now you will be able to see exactly what I was talking about when ours hatched out. There is definitely something different to them then the ordinary run of the mill Blizzard. Wait until they shed and you will see what I was talking about. Congrats Man! Great clutch!

Thanks for all the congrats. Yes, it's from a Platinum/Platinum crossing. I can't wait to see the Powders after a shed and get a meal in them. I've hatched out Blizzards before, and they are pink out of the egg. I have already noticed that these Powders are closer to white. I will definitely be keeping at least one. Not sure whether male or female. Of course that may not be my decision to make depending on how they sex out!! Either way, I'm very happy with the results of one of my personal projects. They are just another gray snake, yet not. ;)

Thanks again!

Here's the parents of the clutch. I do need to update the pics as they are getting lighter and lighter . . . especially the male!

All but one of the ten ate their first meal last night. They have all shed. 2nd meal will be offered next weekend after I return from a 4 day field trip. Sexing and individual pictures will take place next weekend as well, and they'll be up for sale. I only have 1 that is potentially spoken for (waiting to hear back) and I'll probably keep 1 of the Powders. Let me know via PM if you're officially interested or not.

I can say this. The Powders definitely do NOT look like your typical Blizzard. Blizzards hatch out so pink, these are already half way to white. The pattern on the back is hardly visible and I can only barely see it because I know it's supposed to be there. And as for belly checks?! Well, let's just say that seeing all the dark internal organs makes for difficulties in detecting any belly checks! :eek1:

I'll have pictures up either tonight or tomorrow, but I sexed this group of hatchlings this afternoon. There are 5.3 Platinums and 2.0 Powders. Guess I won't have to choose between sex for my keeper Powder! ;)

I'll be offering their second meal tomorrow and then posting an ad sooner or later. Get in touch if you're interested!

Thanks again for looking and the comments!
