Happens a lot on TV shows in England. One show called 'im a celebrity, get me out of here' regularly showers people with spiders, has them 'lucky dipping' in tanks full of insects or snakes and similar. No one in authority seems bothered and yet the RSPCA is trying to get a licencing system for reptiles and a total ban on large snakes. They are also trying to restrict people to keeping only 6 species of reptiles.....

I agree in spirit with licences but to concentrate on that when abuses are happening in public is just ludicrous. Anyone watch hongkong movies? I used to love them but I got sick to death of seeing snakes being thrown at people and walls etc. Its as stated above, most people just dont see reptiles, arachnids and insects as suffering in the same way as mammals.
