The Crazy Snake Lady! :-)
When I was incubating my first clutch I was searching the net for an answer on how long eggs take to hatch. As you can imagine I found anything from 45-90+ days!! I incubated mine at 82f and they hatched at 55 days. I thought this poll would give all the people who have bred corns an opportunity to say how long theres eggs took to hatch based on temps in the low 80s so hopefully new breeders will be able to find it in one place, apologies if there is already something like this on here, but i have looked.
Thanks everybody in advance :wavey: :wavey:

I unintentionally had my temps at around 72-80 degrees at all times. It fluctuated greatly throughout the incubation (this was a surprise clutch so I wasn't prepared) and I got 28 out of the 32 to hatch perfectly with no real problems (two were infertile and caved in a couple days after being laid and two never made it out of their eggs)... except the fact that they hatched out between 88-93 days!!!!! I was so worried at about day 86 that I was about to start cutting them just to see, but patience won out and was pretty rewarding ^_^.

Keeping it going!

lets keep this poll going this year too for any newbies to breeding!

Good luck everybody with your expecting and upcoming clutches/hatchlings!

I am not sure. I have my first ever eggs in a Hovabator and the temps are from 81-85. With that said I will vote when I find out. I am on day 32 right now.

Update: First egg pipped at day 58.

I incubated at 85 degrees and they started pipping on day 50.

WoW!----50 days? I have incubated between 82-84 degrees and it still takes at least 60 days. It seems that in the past few seasons, they are taking Longer to Pip than in the past. The past three season, my average incubation time was 65 days. (Ranging from 63 to 67 days). The earliest I have EVER had eggs hatch was 44 days and that was with Everglades Ratsnakes.

I have two clutches of corn eggs at day 57 as of today I incubate at 78- 85 degrees ( no incubator, just deli containers on a shelf in the snake room), I avg between 58 to 68 days.

I am on day 58 with clutch #1 right now. My patience is wearing thin. I check them a few times a day, and nothing... I am wondering if maybe they are dead in the shells.

60 days

I would say 60 days at 82 degrees,if they hatch quicker then that I would say you might not be getting accurate temps that they are actually at.

Thanks for voting guys and good luck to everybody waiting on their clutches to hatch!! fingers crossed for lots of healthy little one's, at whatever day they decide to come into the world! !! :)

wow 71+! I don't think I would have the patience to wait that long! I get so excited!! 55 days is long enough for me!! How was the clutch after that long with the lower temps?

Lots of great pics on your new clutches!! It's all very exciting! RICHM2778, when did yours finally hatch? I hope they were alright in the end? :)

Those snakes never read the book, both of the above mentioned clutches pipped at 70 and 71 days!!!

This year i'm incubating at snake room temp...around 81-83...and the first clutch took 62 days to pip....100% hatch rate...no kinks...bigger hatchlings than the past.

Drewboy07- Congrats on your big and healthy clutch! It's been great hearing about everybodies results from their varied methods of incubating involving temps and locations! :)

Just updating this so those who haven't voted get a chance to! Thanks for all your votes so far! :)
