Thanks Beth. They make those things look easy as pie, don't they?
I'm glad she's doing better though.
I really can't answer that. The pills are Baytril. :shrugs:Tula_Montage said:Pills?! Why couldn't they have just given you oral baytril?
Easier or harder than a kitty?
Snakes are wiggly, but kitties are pointy on 5 outta 6 ends.
Thanks Beth.I was so shocked by the idea that I'd have to administer meds myself that I didn't even think the logistics through. I have only half as many hands as the team that administered the pills in the office!
Dean, with the size of YOUR hands, I'm thinking you only had a THIRD as many![]()

Completely uncalled for, Beth. If you want some ham-handed brute performing delicate procedures on you, then fine. I have the hands of an ARTISTE!Dean, with the size of YOUR hands, I'm thinking you only had a THIRD as many![]()

That sounds like a girly method. Jamming pills down a snake's throat is more manly! (But I WILL keep it in mind next time.)Tell your vet you feel it's an unnecessary stress for you and the snake and you would feel more comfortable administrating oral liquid baytril from a syringe. It's easy, I just used the syringe to open the corner of the snakes mouth and squirted it in with no spillage![]()
