Ive had my amel corn for two weeks now. I've fed it twice, most recently on Sunday (it ate two pinkies) and then it hung out in its hide until yesterday (wed) when I checked on it. I weighed it (15 grams) and put it back in the viv. I added some fake plants for ground cover and that's when I noticed it had shed. The shed was curled up in a circle and a single piece. I didn't notice any shedding signs and even went back to some pictures taken on Wednesday, Sunday and mid week last week. I also looked at pictures from day 1 at home. I didn't see anything like cloudy or blue eyes or dull color. Only thing I noticed today is it was very active and evasive where in the past I've just picked it up.

After reading all the shedding posts I'm puzzled how this happened so quickly without me noticing anything prior.

Could it have exhibited the shedding signs prior to me having if and then it just shed? The two feedings it's had went quickly with it striking the pinkies within seconds of introducing them.
 
It could have only been in blue briefly and hidden (like for a day'ish) or it could have gotten all the pre-shed symptoms out of the way before you got it. I missed all of little Plisskens first shed signs when I got him.
 
Yes, it is totally possible to miss the signs, all of the sudden, there is the shed!
 
With some morphs, it's hard to tell when they're about to shed. I have a coral snow who when in blue, it's near impossible to see.
 
My coral snow is impossible to detect too, luckily he has been in a pattern of shedding a week after my anery so I know when to expect it.

I have seen my anery turn very obviously blue and then not shed for over a week, so maybe something like that happened, Moneypit. Also, my snakes eat perfectly fine when they're blue so that's not always a good gauge.
 
OK. So just a very smooth and quick shedding. Thanks to all for your contributions and additional information.
 
Just make sure the eyecaps are attached to the shed and that his tail shed completely. These are two of the problem areas that you want to double check on each shed. If you ever have a bad shed there are great stickies on this forum to help you.
