I has Cheezeburger????!!!
Im a proud owner of two cute lil corn snakes, there both around the two year age mark and have been together for like 1 year of that, one is male and one is female, the female is a Normal Red Corn and the male is a Anerythristic Motley Corn, my question is should I be worried about them breeding to early?
I hear they die if they breed to early.

That's definitely one thing I'd be concerned about if they're being housed together. Get a separate viv immediately! Death by early breeding is just one of the long list of things that cohabbing can lead to. Do a search on this forum for cohabitation and see what comes up.

you should worry about cohabing them. do a search of the forums, you should separate the snakes as soon as humanly possible. they should never live together on a long term basis, the only time a corn snake should be in the same viv as another is when they are introduced to each other for breeding purposes.

and yes, they can die if they breed too early, from complications with egg laying usually.

Ok, I read diffrent things in diff places, some say its ok and some dont, im not trying to breed them, and I was thinking that since they were together for so long they wouldve became "friends" and wouldnt even think about it :p.

Your trying to put "human" emotions on them. Please heed others advice and separate them. I don't think you will forgive yourself if and when anything negative happens to them.

It is your choice, but please be aware that people here are just looking out for your snakes best interest. Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do.

Agree with the above comments - if they're together, they'll breed whether you want them to or not.

Snakes don't have "friends". They just see other snakes as a) competition for food/heat/hides or b) something to mate with. And there's no telling when they might switch from one view to the other.

Hi, a few comments and questions: 'two cute lil cornsnakes' 'around two year mark' at two years they shouldn't be very little. That would make them 06's definately an 06 could become gravid. My well fed large 06' laid 12 perfect eggs, this was an intentional breeding as she was good size. So if as you say yours are 'lil' then you may be underfeeding and yes size can vary greatly in snakes you might want to weigh them and see if there is a problem going on.
Now for my "seperate those snakes, they aren't in love they have no capacity for love or emotion, not for you or another cornsnake". As mentioned earlier they eat, and find a comfy place to live and or rest.

What! Old movie but did you ever see Blue Lagoon two healthy young people of the oposite sex become friends sure but "wouldn't think of it" Oh! yes they would and will friends or no friends, reproduction in humans and every other thing is probably one of the strongest instincts, eat, find shelter and reproduce.
