Is heat tape kinda like an uth or do you have to replace it more often?

Heat tape works exactly like any other UTH. Some of my Flexwatt has been in use for more than 5 years and is still working flawlessly.

Thats pretty cool. I guess for some reason I was thinking about those heat packs hunters use in the winter in MN for keeping their hands warm.

:D Thanks

thanks for the help

I see that most tubs on racks are around 32 quart.....is this big enough for an adult to live in????

Its seems awefly small.

I'll post this link again........

All the questions you're asking are answered in detail in this thread on Rack Systems. Please take the time to read it. ;)

Okies... starting construction of my rack system (will need it in 2007 hehe, but am an unemployed student LOL, so building a little at a time) Any one have any suggestions for the type of wood to build it from? Was going to use pine, but worried that the aromatic oils from the shelves may bother the snakes on it. Also, can someone give me a brand name for "heat tape"? The guy at Home Depot looked at me like I had 7 heads when i asked about it LOL.

Is this microphone on? Testing, testing....how bout in the back of the room?

Time for another famous (or infamous) CAV soapbox rant:

Every question that has been recently asked about rack systems has been answered and posted in a single, neatly bundled and easy-to-find thread. I remember thinking when I started that thread how great it would be to have all the rack system info conveniently packaged together. I also remember thinking that it would save us all from answering dozens of posts on rack system. Ah, to dream!

I know what you're all thinking right now, "Surely CAV is crazy!" No I ain't, and don't call me Shirley! Use the &*!#$%@ search function and read people!

[scream]Howard Dean[/scream] :crazy02:

Now back to the topic at hand.

Pine is fine for racks because your snakes aren't in contact with the wood. Heck you could build it out of piled up mouse poop if so inclined. I say get creative and stretch the boundaries of creativity! But I digress.....

Flexwatt is the name brand and you won't find it at Home Depot or Lowe's.

Again, all the info you seek in in the thread I referenced previously.

That is all.....
:wavey:

No search function for me at school hun.. and that link comes up as forbidden by the server =/

It was a general rant and not directed at anyone in particular.

If you can access this page, how can you not access this site's search function?

No idea... I can type in the search field, but the page that pops up says forbidden by server, like it does if I click a link on the page. Its like that on 1/2 the forums I visit, I talked to the head of the computer department and they are trying to fix it, but have no idea why it happens ~,~
