Just bought an adult Oregon Garter Snake, believe it to be a 'he'. Has a very long, tapering tail. He's a beauty, with an orange face & large quite piercing eyes. Black body with redish speckles on his sides, has a vivid silver/grey line along his back, over the spine. Quite different to a Corn, very active in the day (and into the night! 11pm he goes to bed) He is very jumpy, inquisitive too, doesnt miss anything going on around him. Harder to catch than my corn, much quicker moving. Will musk you if you pick him up, IF you can catch him! He is always bulldozering the substrate around & 're-organising' the hides/waterbowl etc.. I will post a photo sometime.
