Rep Count Not Visible

In posting this morning I am finding the missing information to be a problem for me. I would like to see the age be made mandatory. I would like a little bit of information about the person I am talking to, weather they be a nube or not, child or adult. I does make a difference how I respond to that person.

That's ok, you don't need to put down you real age. You could just say you are an old worn out chicken well into fall. That is as close as we need to know.

For an old rooster you're pretty funny.....:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

I tend to agree, Wade. Nor could a number, Lucille, make me think any less or any more of a mature woman or lady who knows how to handle herself.

And Mike, I partially agree with you, there are over-40's who behave like children and buffoons (present company excluded, of course), and there are a few under 18 who act their age or older. Torsten would be a good example.
But in general, age, in general, on an "academic" forum (as opposed, e.g., to a tattoo or Xbox/Wii forum)....tells me what I'm working with.

Thank you Eric, now that I have no rep, it is so important to me that people agree with me from time to time. Thank you, very much.

Decisions, decisions, do I put my real age in my signature (and hope I get told I'm good for my age) or lose a few years (and risk people thinking I've had a really hard life)........:awcrap:

Oh if Rich ever knew the trouble he would cause by turning the age thing off. Another fine example of unintended consequences.

Actually, I have become quite good at ignoring peoples' complaints..... ;)

I kind of miss the age thing. It let me tailor 'technical' replies to the likely knowledge level of the individual. If someone is in college I'm willing to chuck terminology at them without a thought for explanation, whereas with the highschoolers I tend to take more time to explain what the terms mean, when we use them, and where we use them. *shrugs*

OK, I've got 1 vote for 'Spring' and 1 for 'Summer'. But now I don't want to be a chicken at all. I've been a cougar before I knew the term existed, got bored with it, so now I think I'll have to settle for 'Foxy' (Covers a multitude of sins.........;))

I don't think you get to make up your own category. We will need to consider the various qualities and put it to a vote.

If we're going for new Animal categories, then I'd like "Mutton Dressed as Lizard" please.
