Reptile shops or Corn snake breeders in Utah?

Ok, so I don't live in Utah yet, but I will be soon. Probably somewhere in or near salt lake city or orem. It all depends. I really hope to get my first snake soon after I get settled in. Of course, I'll have the tank set up and temps adjusted properly at least a week in advance. Since it'll be my first snake, I'd really prefer not to have it shipped. Then again, I'd also like to get a morph that I really want rather than just settling with a morph am okay with just because it's locally available.

I may or may not go to a reptile expo, such as Wasatch, but depending on when I move, it'll probably be a quite a wait, and since I've already been waiting long enough to get my first snake, I doubt I can force myself to wait very much longer after I know I can finally get one.

So, I hoping there might be some good reptile shops or corn snake breeders locally that I can just pick up in person rather than having it shipped. It will be great if they have a good stock of various morphs.

I tried googling to see what stores might be in Utah, but I haven't had much luck. I've found a couple stores, mainly in Salt Lake City, but it's possible there are more stores out there that I'm just not finding.

I haven't really decided what exact morph I'm going to get, but I've narrowed it down. To be honest, I'm really picky. I've decided my first snake will be a corn snake and nothing is going to deter me from that, but the thing is, most corn snake morphs just aren't that appealing to me. (I know, I know, I'm horrible). I prefer a patternless or striped snake. I would even be okay with dilute / vanishing. I also don't like the colors brown, yellow, or orange. So that really limits me. I'm thinking I would like a bloodred corn snake, preferably striped, or "old school", or maybe a blizzard or whiteout corn snake.

I also kinda like the light grey corn snake morphs, like the charcoal lavender stripe, and the ghost bloodred stripe, but I'm sure those morphs are extremely expensive and rare, so let's leave those out for now.

Anyways, I just want to know if there are any breeders in Utah that may be working with these kinds of morphs. Also, if you know of any, please recommenced me some good Reptile stores in Utah.

Thanks in advance!

Well, the Wasatch Reptile expo is the biggest show in the area and is definitely worth going to. It's generally a really good place to get enclosures for a good price. I know there are a few corn breeders in Utah but I can't remember their names offhand. A few are members on this site, I believe.

Living Safari is a really good pet store, for a pet store. Particularly in this area, it's the best one I've been in. Rockstar Pets is pretty decent. Pets n Such is also pretty decent but Mark's Ark is much more typical of the quality of pet stores around here and I'd give it a wide berth. At least from the last time I was in there and that was a couple years ago.

KSL classifieds has a fairly good reptile section, you might find some of the local breeders on there.

No idea if you like them or not but a friend in my town has aneries and ghosts, along with a few other morphs and I have a few Phantoms and one Anery. We are about 2 1/2 hours from SLC.

Tavia is spot on, at least from what I recall (been a couple years since I moved out of UT). Rockstar is in Tooele, around half an hour from SLC, but pretty good. I remember Living Safari being pretty impressive. And absolutely... STAY AWAY from Mark's Ark. BLECH!
