Misty. Whoa!
I buy my Nutro dogfood at the local feed store. I've never paid more than $24 for a 40# bag. And I have to buy the old dog and fat dog formulations. And, every other time it seems that it is on sale for $19.99.
I can't find squat locally. Pet food or pet supplies in general. Walmart has cheap, bad quality stuff. I can't even find aspen bedding locally, everything is pine or cedar.
I can get Mazuri Rat/Mouse Blocks through the local co-op, but they come in a case of 6 2-lb bags, rofl. When I'm used to buying 50lb bags of rodent block, that's a bit assinine.
Its sad when you've looked online trying to find a place to buy dog/cat food from in bulk to save on cost.
And you think you have it bad living in Montana. At least up there you can get decent vegetables for some weird reason or another. Down here, people commonly buy carrots with moldy tops and don't think anything of it. *sigh*
Hmm.... Weird. I find the shredded aspen at my WalMart is better than the aspen they sell at Petco... The Petco brand has way too much aroma and is obviously packaged in the same facility as pine and cedar. Plus the Walmart version has a much finer size.
Heh, it seems odd to hear people complain about the items varying in size...
All of my hatchlings are different sizes, and I actually dump out the bag and pick out an individual pinky/fuzzy for each hatchling, based on the size. (The look Hurley gives me is priceless, LOL.)
It's a pain when they get to that "between" size and all of your pinks are 2 grams, and all of your fuzzies are 6 grams. It would be nice to get a bag of pinkies/fuzzies where they are all different sizes.
Actually that would be my biggest gripe with frozen suppliers: too many places have one size of pinks that are 1/3 to 1/4 the size of their fuzzies, and it can be pretty ridiculous. You'd think there would be a market for peach fuzzies or large pinks. :shrugs:

I agree, different size pinks are rather nice when all your snakes are different sizes. It's nice to not worry about wheather or not the pink will be too big for said snake.
