Show me your other critters!

Sorry to hear about your baby boy. I'm the same with my Moe Moe (who was put down to advance cancer of the bladder) and Skeeter, who I had to put down last year at 14 due to a heart murmur, kidney failure, and general old age. I'd had him for about six months and the previous owner didn't tell me about his health problems. The vet I brought him too just thought he was a skinny old man with a murmur. :(

As for that dwarf, I think maybe she might be a runty Flemish Giant. Lol.

I actually think she is an American Chinchilla rabbit. They are a meat and fur rabbit that was popular in the US a long time ago but kinda died out or were forgotten about. I read up on them and females tend to weigh around 12lbs.

It doesn't seem as far fetched when you consider that the man I got her from has a wife who breeds several different rabbits for show. I bet she would of killed him if she knew he took the wrong ones to sell at a flea market!

Here's my newest addition...FOSTER KITTEN! Meet Parsley!

Pridecity, why is the Ornate Box Turtle, in an aquatic tank. They much prefer to be in a terrestrial aquarium?

Here is a couple of the bigger critters, I have to many mice and rats I could post.

Lawn ornaments(left to right, Red.. Tail.. Poco's Dream)

@Carinata, she was in the aquatic tank for the day while I had to tear down her cage so I could use the space. I was trying to re-arrange the house and the pool she's kept in was taking up too much space at the time. She spent the day swimming with my other turtle and actually tried to bite me when I tried putting her back in her pool after I was done rearranging. She usually is in her pool, which I think I posted somewhere. Her pool has a terrestrial substrate. Once a week, even though she has a small "bath tub" of her own, I put her in the tank so that they can be together. Goose, the box turtle, eats a lot better when she's with Fish for some reason. I have no idea why.

@Buzzard: I'll take the donkey!

Shiari, Alyssum is SOOOOOO cute!!! I LOVE her. She's, like, a good-looking, long-nosed version of my Stump... lol!

Here's my "other critters," starting with the furries...

Stump, the mystery mutt. He was sold to my mom as a Brussels Griffon... Well, I guess he kind of looks like a Brussels, you know, other than being, oh, 25 lbs!

Sammy, my big boxer girl. She turned 12 years old earlier this week, and is an incredibly stubborn, bossy old lady. Crazy to think about how submissive she was when we got her, 10 years ago...

And Lily, the ferret. Technically my brother's. I really need to get a new pic of her--this is from when we got her, and she looks SOOO much better now-a-days.

Now the not-so-furry ones. Starting with "The Girls," Buttercup (top) and Blossom (bottom):

Seriously need to get an updated picture of this guy (again). Toby, '10 San Diego Gopher Snake

Another one I need to get new pics of. Raven, '11 Salmon BCI (so named for her intense hate for anything shiny or reflective... like my phone screen. Hehehe)

The as-of-yet nameless (any ideas?) Red-ear Slider (really hoping it's a boy!)
P7020004-1.jpg

This little Leopard tort was a little bit of a rescue. We're not out of the woods with him yet, so he doesn't have a name, but he's worth sharing with the forum in the meantime.

There's still a couple others for whom I just don't have pics yet... Namely, several unidentified toadlets, 2 Wandering Garters, a Whitewater Rosy boa, a hermit crab, a hissing cockroach, and my first tarantula... Oh, heck, my room is turning into a zoo! Oh the hazards of working in a pet store. Anywho, I'll post up pics of everyone else when I get the chance to actually take some. :)

Some of my past and present pets (ie. the ones with easy to access photos)

....will post the others later

@Kaminoke, in my house Spookie wants to be a snake, Mew wants to be a book, and Cassie is actually a dog. The only cat I really have is Scrappi and she barks. Lol. It's a house full of identity crisis. Lol.

You DO realize that we have almost a dozen dogs, over 3 dozen snakes, and 7 large parrots, right? No way I'm going to share pix of every single pet in this house. It would take over the entire thread! LOL!

AGREED!! I want pictures ;)

I love seeing how people keep their pets ... like rooms/set-ups/cages. Not just the lovely animals themselves but the all the work that goes behind them ;)

That photo of Phoebe is sooo cute and also well composed, I bet it would be favorited many times if it would be on Flickr!

I was bad. I adopted four new pets today at the Denver Expo. I'm still under 15 animals though! I haven't taken pictures, but I got a hairless guinea pig (named Hippo) and three new box turtles. Two of the boxies are male ornates, so I'm sure Goose will be happy to see them. The second one we think is a Gulf Coast Three Toed Box, female. They're all in really rough shape. I'll have to get pictures.
