I'll start.
Oakeetee: Dexter, the t.v. show, big fan.
Normal#1: Walter, Breaking Bad again t.v. show.
Normal#2 (my daughter's corn): Dwight, yet again another t.v. show The Office.😀

Usually I just get to know the snake, toss around a few things, and say "sounds good!"

I gave my orchid and hypo orchid floral names, because orchids are flowers. Hyacinth and Jasper. Turns out Nanci has a Hyacinth (an outrageous plasma stripe) and Jasper too. Nanci I promise I didn't steal your names!

My ERO's name is Obsession, no explanation needed!

My bright coral snow male is Brainiac (he kinda looks like a brain when curled up) and continuing with that theme my salmon snow is Mastermind (also because he likes to do a nightly test for cage weaknesses!).

Some of my snakes are named after my deceased furry pets, such as Ruby (opal) and Pharaoh (fittingly a saffron).

I also like to name them after Gods. Hyacinth is both a flower and a God. My bloodred is Momo (nickname for the god Momus) and my anery motley is Odin.

My hypo jungle boa constrictor is named Griever, after the perfectly shaped teardrop on his nose.

And there are several I have yet to name!

Miami - Crested gecko (don't remember how he ended up named that but it set the theme for the rest of the cresteds)
Cairo - Crested gecko (she was named that by the person I got her from and it fit with the theme I had going on)
Luxor - Crested gecko (I bought him with the intent to pair with Cairo, so found a town I liked the name of in Egypt to name him)
Sierra - Crested gecko
Gizmo - Gargoyle gecko (took about a year to come up with but it set the theme for the rest)
Gadget - Gargoyle gecko
Gauge - Gargoyle gecko
Glitch - Gargoyle gecko

Box Turtles
Pell - Female, name from the same book series that two of our cats are named in.
Dag - Male, same as above.

Plus 7 other snakes that haven't been named yet ... See, we shouldn't ever write this out, it forces one to confront how addicted one is ...

I have a ghost I named Spectra (aka Spec), I wanted to make specter girly, and specter of course is a ghost. Her viv is also Indiana Jones/Lost temple themed and she's the spirit/protector of the temple.

My fire I named Hades. The skull marking on his head and his bright reds and oranges inspired the name along with a few other things. His tank is also themed with skull and Parthenon ruins. Thinking I might make his background the gates of the underworld.

Pinky (amel female, named for her eyes)
Moe ( normal female sort of named for 'Miami' - I hadn't seen pictures of Miami morphs, when I got her (baby) and her coloring seemed to match the description - she grew out of that coloration)

Later there was
LG "Elgee' 'normal' motley -wonderful warm colors presumed male (showed wayyyy too much interest in Moe during a breeding season to NOT be male. a petstore purchase, I had hoped he might be a bloodred female - hence 'LG for Little Girl became Little Guy.

Rex, Proven male bloodred het for at least amel - Came to me as an adult because I'd always wanted a bloodred - he can be a butthead sometimes.

Timber male normal q-tip motley - lost to illness when still a baby the name just came to me when I was driving home with him.

Nadir - male blizzard or snow (I suspect blizzard) traded away as a young adult to a breeder. Nadir is the opposite of Zenith (meaning top) and since white is the opposite of black it seemed right (there are no black corn snakes, I believe )

My new baby tessera girl is not named yet - /But I think it's going to be something dragon based.
The Tessi girl's normal brother is shaping up to be 'Caravello' it just kinda sounds right for him.
 
ATM we just have 1. She is named Cheesy and is a classic/normal. She belongs to our daughter who randomly decided on the name. We are actually looking to add 2 new corns in the next couple weeks. Looking to buy them on Thursday and have them shipped early next week hopefully.

The 2 incoming is actually the 2 from this post. The:

SS14-A1 2014 Male Anery, ph Amel, Hypo
SS14-A2 2014 Female Snow, ph Hypo

The Mrs has already decided the female snow will be named Sophie.
We haven't decided on a name for the male anery yet, but leaning towards "This Dude Looks Freaking Awesome" (jk, but I really do like this guy)

He was born that way. He still technically has the other eye but it's very under developed. Evidently it's a genetic deformity on the kahl albino gene. I took him in as a pet only boa. Otherwise he would have been culled.

Sif - female gold dust - from Marvel Thor comics
Doctor Horrible - male snow stripe - Doctor Horrible's Sing Along Blog
 
We have Wadjet, a normal (Carolina red/orange) corn, named after an Egyptian Goddess with a snake head, and Pinkie Py(thon), normal BP, named after a My Little Pony. We also have Batrous and Rana-two frogs, both named "Frog", in Greek and Latin, respectively.
 
My Miami was previously named Ajax by his previous owner. Since we were discussing him for quite some time before we met, I ended up being so used to his original name that I shortened it to something I'd use, Jax.

I'm a bit of a graphics nerd, so my pied ball Python is called Pixel, because Bitmap would be an ugly name.
 
Many of my corns are rescues and I kept their names except the one amel stripe, he was named "ekans" (snake spelled backwards). Not creative. I named him "Gus".

I have a friend who named her snakes Ekans as well :) She based it more off of the Pokemon than the fact it's spelled backwards.
Then She has Sauron (From Lord of the Rings) and Severus.

If I ever get a Mexican black Kingsnake he will be named Toothless. Had to throw that in there.

I want to eventually do the Harry Potter houses (Griffon, Slyther, Huffle, and Raven).
