Hi everyone.
I've owned my one and only corn snake for about a month or so now, and am SO in love. She's a baby, and I've been handling her since she was about a month old, so she's just as sweet as could be and poses few problems.
It's been just the two of us, until about an hour ago when I decided to take on a very big challenge, and now I need your help.
I found a 3 year old, 3 foot corn snake on Craigslist today and jumped on him when I saw how beautiful he was and fell in love. However, for most of his three years, he's been living with his previous owners, being very neglected and is now therefore not friendly AT ALL. In fact, I could barely get him into his cage upon arriving home due to his consistent attacking. He lunges and tries to bite me every chance he gets, and really I don't blame him.
What I'm asking for is help in getting him to calm down. I've never really done this type of thing before, and I want to do everything I can to make him comfortable and happy and friendly. What can I do to help him become a friendly, people-loving snake?
