Snow corn x albino king predictions?

If you are against cross breeding, act like youdidnt see this.

I'm going to breed my snow corn and my albino king when the time is right to see what I get. Anyone have any guesses? I'm wondering if they will look like a cross between the two or if they will come out as something different.

All I know about hybrid crosses, is that the outcome is unpredictable. Some will look like a corn, some like a king and some like a cross (not necesarily all of these in one clutch).
I don't know if the albino of the king is compatible with the snow of a corn, but if it's not, you'll get all normal colored babies. If they are, you'll get albino babies het. for anery.

They will look like Jungle Corns, which you can do a search on and see the different variations. The Cali Albino and Corn Amel are incompatible, but the F1's will be het for both, as well as Corn Anery. With all hybrid crosses, you'll really see the most colorful and odd patterned ones from the F2's on.

One word of advice though, when doing this cross it's recommended to do male Corn to female King, as Kings have a much longer copulation and the Corn female can become restless which may lead to injury to both snakes...

So since albino kings are incompatible with Amel corns that means if I bred my snow with my albino king I would get normal jungles since snows are Amel/Anery? I wonder how people make albino jungle corns.

By breeding the babies back to each other...

Where did you hear the amel gene isn't allelic? I personally haven't proven it myself but I believe they are.

Actually I know for a fact they're allelic.

You misunderstand, if you breed an Albino King to an Amel Corn, you won't get Albino hatchlings in the F1's. If you breed the hatchlings together, then you can get Albino/Amel hatchlings in the F2's.

As previously stated, its the F2s where you'll get some really cool looking snakes. From my understanding, the F1s will tend to look mostly like one parent or the other. But since they carry the same genetic material, when you put 'em back together you get some really funky stuff.

I'm not sure if the king albino and the corn amel are the same/compatible, but if they are, you should see that in the F1s. :shrugs:

Here's my Albino Striped Jungle Corn-

He's part of my only hybrid project I plan on having. In a few years I'm going to breed him to my MBK-

Should be fun to see what happens.

I was hoping to show Jungle examples this year, but alas, it wasn't meant to be, so I have to settle with Cali/Albino Ruthveni/Thayeri hatchlings... :grin01:

I searched the Hybrid forum I'm on and from what I read, it's possible to get an expressed version of both hets, like Ultramels, which explains why the F2's have so much variation.

No I understood. You're wrong. You get albinos and I know because I've done it. :crazy02:

LOL!! What hybrid forum are you talking about because most of the people on them don't know what they're are talking about.

Lol! It's Hybrid Haven. I've seen a few people from here on there too. :shrugs: I've never made Jungles, I'm a little bit past that stage, lol.

Do you happen to have a link to where it says the info you're talking about?

Btw what do you mean you're past that stage?
