Man, I could talk about rainbow boas all day! They are by far my top pick for the most beautiful snake in the world! sorry butter corn snake, you're a distant second.
I've really been hoping to see an Argentine Rainbow Boa some day, there are some amazing pictures of them online but never with any rainbow :( I'm sure they must have some, Rainbow Boas are always more amazing to see in person. Photo's just can't do them justice.

Look at that iridescence!! Those are stunning pictures. Thanks for sharing. I'm with you on rainbow boas - I think they are ALL beautiful, and my little girl is definetly a rainbow of some type, so just to own a rainbow boa at all feels like a privelege.

She's settling right in. Naturally, she's ignored all my meticulously arranged hides and dived under the substrate

puruvian rainbow boa, paraguayan rainbow boa, guyana rainbow boa, argintine rainbow boa, maybe with a little Brazillion mixed in. dosent really look colombian or brazilion to my though to much/thrick black borders.

So basically she could be anything, lol :grin01:

These pictures really don't do her justice, hence the lack of flash. When you see her in person you can see more clearly defined borders around her saddles which you just can't see in the pictures I provided. When I get her out next I'll see if I can get some better pictures.

I think cornsnake kid may be onto something (or on something :) ). It looks both too colorful and dark to be a CRB in my humble opinion and not colorful or bright enough to be a BRB. :shrugs: Could be a different type of rainbow altogether but I only have experience with CRB's and BRB's.

Oh, and the obligatory plug for my own BRB's . . . two separate snakes . . .

Grats on the new snake, Becks, she's lovely!

Thanks Janine!

To be honest I believe she's a colombian. I did a bit more digging around on the net and found a few pictures that looked almost identical to my new snake. I also ran searches on the other rainbow subspecies and she doesn't look much like any of them.

Until she is a bit bigger however and I know for sure, I'm just calling her a rainbow boa for simplicity. :grin01:

I am completely and utterly stumped on a name. I'm terrible at naming snakes... I spent more than a week naming Chester and in the end my brother named him LOL

^^ you might be on to something there. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see if it holds it's pattern or fades.
