some concern for tiny snake

Yes! it would and im really looking forward to when the time is right. It's funny because i was giving advice to some snake people at one of the shops here and the employees learned too.
My guy turned blue and you guys are not kidding, he has been hiding for days now and i dug him out to show him his shed box i placed in there...he wont leave and was being a spazz. That has been the only time i seen him in 5-6 days.
How much diffrent is he gonna be from a domesticated snake? I was under the impression since he was caught newley hatched that maybe he would be calmer.
I've ordered some corn snake books and should be getting my milksnake book in a day. The internet doesnt give too much on the type that i have since its kinda plain and wild.

I have been following this story from the beginning and am happy to hear your little one is eating and now has a shed under his belt too!!!

So have I actually, and I'm pretty darn impressed. Like Chip said what a big hurdle to jump thru with it eating at this time of year. :)

Thanks, its cool that there are so many passionate people. I had no idea how much of a spark comes from these weird little creatures. Im soaking in so much but the thing thats not really soaking in is the whole breeding and combination of types and such. Im just copying all the information that i get from these forums but adding in a point of view for the snake. I bury his feeding cup and drap his viv in my kids black halloween capes. He wouldnt eat unless i buried him. Im learning as i go but this guy wouldnt have survived if it were not for everyone active in these forums.

I just read the whole thread - reads like a movie thriller, lol! Congrats on progress so far. When I read your first post or two, and saw you are from NY, I immediately thought - "Oh no - he's probably got an itty bitty eastern milk that will never feed, especially this late in the year!" I am so happy you proved me wrong!

I am also impressed that you came here with such an open mind to take whatever advice is offered. So many come here with preconceived plans that they just want members to agree with, even if they are not in the best interest of their pet. Your effort to seek and follow advice is probably what has saved the little guy so far.

Welcome to the forum! I think you will find this to be more than just a place to get advice. It is also a community that has come to be more than just a bunch of people talking about corns. I think you will enjoy it here.

Good luck on your little critter!

Not sure if you know this, but that is high praise indeed, from one of the most beloved and knowledgable women in the corn snake field.

I was just doing the same... and thinking 'oh just release the darned thing...' the whole time. Glad it worked out! Now I'm going out to skulk around my own yard and hope for similar luck!

:)

I have been busy so sorry for late response.

Thanks Kathy! I am enjoying your book.
I had seen too many of the posts from people who do things like feed a snake hamburger or try to sex babies with no clue....dumb and unresponsible

Yes, Pugsley I own a copy of Kathy's corn snake book. Its very apppreciated.

Booboo, chris, edsta, nanci thanks for taking interest as well with opinions. It takes me a good hour to post but if i missed a name thanks.

Man that is fantastic, I caught one once right in front of my house. Kept it for an hour or so and put it back where I found it.
