It remains to be seen Mike. We have a little 'war room' wall in our snake room with a whiteboard. The white board has a few states named that are options, pros and cons on it, what teachers are paid, what tuition runs at state schools, what snake laws apply to me, etc. The most important thing is Jen getting hired as a teacher.. Know of any openings? ;)

Honestly though, I like Texas best of our options. You guys really have the best ratio we've seen yet between STARTING teacher salaries and cost of living. Tuition is a little higher than some of the other, but the VA will be paying mine anyway. Two things that got us looking around were- 1. Jen is an unemployed teacher and was getting so tired of the wait, and 2. I found out that the new GI Bill is virtually useless in CA since CA state schools don't charge tuition they charge 'fees'. And the way the GI Bill is written it won't pay any fees. It's semantics, but the law is written that way, so there it is.
