The 2008 Lollipop swap!

Ok, I'm confuzzled on the final plan of the lolli swap. Here's my thought..rather than US peeps sending lollis to me, save your pennies and be prepared to send them around the US. I was thinking that McKenna and I would be sending a bag to Elle and Sue, and they would pass them throughout the UK, and we would be passing the UK lollies throughout the US. No? Yes? Lollies here are really inexpensive, but the shipping to the UK as well as throughout the country is where it can get pricey.

So, can we make a final plan for how this should go? I absotively want to be involved, but me thinks we need to all get on the same page?
 
I agree. I'm confuzzled. I think what we should do is make the final headcount tomorrow. Doesn't matter what the numbers are. Whoever has bought lollies can send them to me or Sure so that Lori and Measley aren't hit with super high shipping charges. Postage costs are high here, but I don't mind. I just want to share the lollie lurve!
 
OH I want to share the lollies, too! That's why I'm thinking rather than having US people send them to US, to just be prepared to send UK lollies around. Even that can get to be pricey. I'm more than happy to send a big ol bag of yummy lollies to you uk folks. Hey, I have some family in Wales. Can you send them a few? ;)

So, let's do a final headcount...Elle, this is your baby...would you care to make a completely separate count asking for the FINAL count? Then this weekend we can add up all the lollie heads and go from there? I wish more UK peeps would jump in on this. Do you guys have a favorite lolli we can tempt you with? :)

I tried to get more ukies :( Ack well, I can share the lollies between my friends here who have not officially joined in LOL.
 
Ok then, should we get the ball rolling? Elle and Sue can send a bag to me and McKenna, and we'll start them around the country. Should people just send us their addresses, and we'll decide where the lollies start out, and give the next person an address, and so on and so on?
 
It's ok, Wade. Send me your address, I'll send lollies to you first. You and SWMBO can have first crack! ;)
 
So Elle, I've given my address to a few people but am I correct in deciphering the last few posts to mean that we are just swapping two on two (2 US members and 2 UK members) and then passing them on to the other members in our country... Are we not collecting from all US members? I'm still a little confused on this-

I don't mind at all collecting from the US contributers and sending them on to the UK- I'm just not sure if I'm supposed to start pm'ing all US contributors with my address...

Now that's just downright scary!

Ok, here is what I had taken out of the initial plan. These are just two ideas that came to mind. Maybe we need to vote? I don't know. I'm not trying to take the fun out of it, just trying to make it easy.

Plan A.
Lori and Elle each swap a bag.
McKenna and Sue each swap a bag.

From there, McKenna takes a few and passes the bag on to the next person on the US list. They take a few and pass it on to the next person. Same thing is happening in the UK.

Plan B.
We get a true headcount of everyone from each country that wants to participate. Put the names in a hat, one hat for US, one hat for UK. We pick names and match the persons up, and those two swap, and so on and so on.

I have no problem going out and buying a bag of lollies and sending them to the UK. I just initially thought that was the plan and it seemed easier than having US people send them to me, then me sending those on.

Again, just trying to keep it simple, but we can do it however you guys think would work best.

I vote Plan A. But that's because I already sent my lollies to McKenna... :eats02:
