I realize we are trying to get things back on track, but I would like to say something to Carpe, who I assume will read this thread.
I have had Carpe on ignore for a long time. And I'm an atheist who is pro gay. I do have some issues with hybrids, but I am even okay with them as long as they are made with a plan and labeled correctly. My problem with this poster was how he shoehorned "hybrid" into EVERYTHING. It got old, and fast.
Frankly, I think a lot of the photos in this thread have been ... let's just say "not in the spirit of what I intended" with this thread. But, on sites with free speech, threads don't always go the way you want -much like conversations. I agree with Carpe in that I found the cut up fingers disturbing. I feel sure that's a Photoshop, and it's extremely creative in spite of being a grotesque image. If that's somehow a real photo, shame on Jarrett for posting it, but I don't think it is. I am able to appreciate that horror movies are art, even though actually cutting someone's head off is not.
But Carpe, assuming you are reading this, I would just suggest you look at your posting style here. You went out of your way to make people dislike you. And you know that. You post those "God Hates Fags" church protests and call them pro-gay images, yet you know it was meant to demean Christianity more than promote anything gay/lesbian. And you also know that Nanci (who gave you your first vacation) is a Christian and wouldn't appreciate it. I don't know if this ban is indeed permanent, but either way, please take it as a lesson in interacting with others using the typed word. I've been guilty for being reactionary and thoughtless when posting, plenty of times, so perhaps I'm not the best person to say this. But you take the cake for being single minded and determined to bring up a controversial subject (in this case, the word "hybrids") I have ever seen on the whole world wide web. You even asked if there were hybrid plans for a wild snake caught on a game recorder. You deny trolling/baiting/needling, but if you step back, take a deep breath, and look objectively at your own posts, I think you will realize everyone else isn't just being a jerk here. Our getting our fill of your posts just might have been justified.

I don't think for one second anyone thinks you are anti-gay. CS was posting Westboro protests to slam Christianity, not gay people.
