Okay..
I'm creating this thread for everyone..I want people to feel free to share their photos of the creepy crawlies that they find...or keep...
I love to photograph creepie crawlies of the beautiful and the ugly..
and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there.....so share them here..
It would be a great place to share too when you have aquestion about teh identification of your creepy....maybe someone here can help..

I'll start...(as I have tons of photos..haha)
This is an ASSASSIN BUG...although I'm not sure which kind, I'm having a hrad time identifying him..and what I think to be a Juvenile Assassin bug (the little green guy)..

Enjoy..and thanks for looking!

This is a photo of a Dobsonfly we found last year, freaked us the hell out. Though it was sad once we found out he was dying. They spend most of their life in their larval stage (Known as a "Hellgrammites"... freaky" then they mature into this to breed and die. So when we found him he was on the verge of death. Anyway, onto pics!

And here is a katydid we found. I had no idea they could make noise until I startled it and it hissed at me, making me drop it and scream like a little girl. XD

These get a good 3-4 inches long and the only thing I ever saw actually eat one (besides ants after one gets mushed) is a squirrel, of all things!

I'm just about ready to run screaming from the monitor, now..... !!

Is that black thing a WASP? And what IS that thing in back? Is there a stinger on the end?!

I think I'm going to just hang out in OR, where the bugs are "normal" :).

Agreed! At first I thought this thread would be COOL. Now I'm kind of creeped out and don't want to go outside! Guess HUGE bugs, and super weird ones, just freak me out. Oh yeah and spiders too (o: I'll stick with my furry friends and my snakes.

I <3 assasin bugs, by the way.

And wow, that fly is odd! I have no idea what the black thing is, but I've seen similar ones around here I think.

These aren't really weird bugs, but this is stuff I've found in our backyard.

Ah yes Susan - the Southern Lubber Grasshopper. We see a lot of those. They come in different colors too - yellow, green, red and black that I have seen thus far.

Found this guy in our old house one day and took some pics before letting him go:

Not really a "strange" bug - but one of our extremely large spider varieities here in Florida - a female golden orb weaver:
