There's a Panther in My House! (DUW)

Oh and about the betta fish, I keep mine in a 1 gallon fish bowl with no filter and he is just as happy and healthy as can be. In college dorms fish are the only things you can have, and bettas are the most popular. Everyone I know who has a betta keeps it in a small bowl or a vase with a plant in it.

I didn't mean to imply that you were keeping your fish improperly, he looks healthy and your set up is great so long as you clean it, which I assume you do lol.

Also! Another UBer! XD Iguanagirl8662, I was directed to this forum by someone on UB after I posted about the snake I found.

Thanks, KB!

It's ok..I just felt a little bombarded with so many people saying that stuff :D

Trust me, I love my bettas, and I make sure they're well fed (which Poseidon just learned how to eat!!!) and in very clean environments. I normally have very tall lucky bamboo growing out of their vases, but somebody's kitty thing they taste too good :p

Zeke is doing well - showing off his "happy" colors more when he's in his enclosure. Just took him out for a little exercise. He loves moving and climbing!

I love Chameleons. I've had two and I didn't do very well with them. :(
Maybe someday way down the road I'll get another one.

Can I play with him while you're gone? :D
If they didn't require so much care, I would totally want one... but I have my hands full as it is!

He's been very fun, and from everything I read, they're definitely difficult to care for. I have an "expert level" lizard already, but chameleons are so hard to keep and only have a lifespan of 5 years. For a $300 animal..not including all the stuff, it's something I'll happily wait for until I'm rich :D

And yes you can play with him! They're supposed to be a "look but don't touch" animal due to the stress, but according to his owner, they hold him all the time. Besides, he practically begs to be taken out of his crappy temporary home.

So I'll never post a picture of a betta again...wow guys.. I thought the picture was adorable and that's all I wanted to share. I'm sure it's not the most ideal situation, but neither are racks or lots of other things people do with reptiles. My betta is fine and happy. His bubble nest is crazy..and whatever. I'm not going to attempt to fight this.

Anyway..back to the actual topic of the thread, Zeke is doing well and I'll take more pictures of him this weekened.

I also was not implying that you were mistreating him or anything. Like I said I also kept mine in bowls for years with no problems as long as they are clean but I did read up on them and found they prefer a bit more room and mine do seem to enjoy the more room. Your betta looks healthly so theres no problem but I figured maybe you would llike to learn more about them as I was glad when people informed me about them and I was able to learn something I didn't know.

Anyhow the Panther looks good, he most be fun to babysit.

Katie, definitely thank you for the information. It's certainly something to look into, and I do love learning more, especially when it comes to animals.
