These babies are not normal!

Thought I would post an update on these guys! Here are individual pics of all the babies. :)

Two normals:

(Note to self: Need a better pic of this one. He's probably the same normal that was trying to escape in that other pic!)

Three of the snows:

So if you bred one of those snows..to one of those anerys..would you get all the snows, anerys, amels and normals again?

That would give you snows, anerys and amels, but no normals. If you bred the 2 normals together or an anery and an amel, you would get all 4 types, but in different amounts.

They look awesome girl! Anery's are so pretty when little. The first one is awesome! I also love the last amels white out tail. Pretty! I hope I get at least one amel. I'm on day 76 = NOTHING!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!! :(

So this is what you get when you breed Amels and Anery's together? Snows, anery, and amels, and classics? I am going to be breeding a female anery I think to a male Amel this next breeding season so I was wondering what I might get out of them. Awesome looking babies you got there!

Actually, I was supposed to get all normals, but het for snow (being het for both amel and anery is the same as being het for snow), meaning if you took 2 of them and bred them, then you'd get all of what I got. The only reason I got all 4 kinds is because both of the parents had hidden hets I didn't know about. The amel mother must be het for anery and the anery father must be het for amel for me to have gotten what I did. It was a lucky fluke, but not all that uncommon, as amel and anery are pretty common genes. You could luck out too! Even if only one parent has a hidden het, you could get normals and amels or normals and anerys.

The corn calculator is a neat little tool for figuring out what you might get from breedings, but you should also look into a little bit of basic genetics. The classic/amel/anery/snow stuff is not too hard to wrap your head around, so it's a good place to start. Here is the corn calculator: http://www.corncalc.com/
