Thinks hes a rattle snake

I just heard my male rattle for the first time today. I dont think he has ever done it before, but then again this was the first time I had him out when someone new was around. It was a little weird though because he let me pick him up fine but when my friend came over to look at him he started rattleing in my hand. It kinda tickled.
My female has yet to rattle as far as I know.

Yea, probably...It was cute...he is pretty small and it is funny to watch him try to be scary.

My lavender, Damballah, rattles his tail and strikes at me every time I put my hand in his viv. But he also rattles the entire time he's eating. Even if I leave the room, I can hear his little tail buzzing on the side of his feeding tank. He's got quite an attitude on him. He's never bitten me, but I've had him for over a year and he still doesn't like me. The odd part is that once I get him out of his viv, he likes being handled. He just doesn't like my hand in his viv I guess.

My amber corn, on the other hand, has never rattled (at least not that I've ever seen).

My little butter, Lilith, likes to rattle her tail at me when I go into her viv and pick her up to place her in the feeding tub. She also like to rattle her tail at me when she sees me and she is not hidden in the bedding. But she is just a hatchling so maybe she settles in more she will only rattle at me sometimes . ;)

My first corn snake ever used to do this lol. I thought it was funny and called him a little rattlesnake as well. The snake I have seen do this most often was my cali banded kingsnake. he always did the tail thing, when I was close or not...

That'd be so funny to see! So small, so cute and so non lethal and yet it still wants to be a bad ass lol thats so cool...
