My female Amel (Sunglow) motley, Ruby, finally gave in today and allowed Blaze to mate with her.
She has refused all his advances whenever I've introduced them in the honeymoon tub, so today I decided to try putting Ruby into Blaze's vivarium. They hooked up almost immediately! I only got the photo, because I was busy moving the substrate away from their nether regions, to avoid any getting stuck to their bits, when they finished. I really don't like them mating on loose substrate :eek1:
I swear he is now wearing a big grin, lol, as this is the first year he's had more than one female to mate with
Thanks, I'm really stoked that she finally gave in, as I thought I'd missed her "window" because she all of a sudden started looking slimmer :shrugs: I won't be sure till she actually lays I suppose, but at least they've hooked up so I've got a chance. I'll try them again in a couple of days
I finally got them to hook up again, but no matter when I introduce these two, if it's in a neutral tub they are just not interested.
So yesterday I popped Blaze into Ruby's viv and they got down to business straight away, oh well, at least I got a 2nd mating and there was good evidence after...lol
This time I actually managed to get the elusive, full on, corn porn shot, so enjoy!
