I'm afraid I have to agree. When I first came here, I had ONE king snake and ONE corn snake, and didn't plan on getting any more. Now my wish list is as long as my arm and still growing.

I have to agree totally... I was happy with being a two snake owner for over 5 years. Then Lady G passed and I found this place. I figured that you guys had just given me baby fever, so I went out and bought a baby... of course, my daughter claimed it before it even left its tank at the shop

And it's not enough.. I want my own baby

This site has done more damage to my personal finances than I care to think about. I had 20-25 snakes a long time ago, but I had to get rid of most of them. When I joined, I had a normal corn, an anery, and a rosy boa. I was pretty happy with what I had before I started poking around here. I certainly would never have guessed that I would be at 60 at this point. My friends and associates have concluded that I've gone insane, and that there's not much difference between me and the old lady with 100 cats. Some of my family members understand, but most probably don't...

But I sold what I hatched this year, and I'm selling four more snakes in a few weeks. So I'm heading in the right direction (I hope).

Seems like every time I get a pay check (which are pretty small in my case) it coincides with discovering a snake I can't live without. Right now it's getting to a bad point because I'm looking forward to my NEXT pay check thinking "it's okay to spend a few hundred on a pair of ultramels, I'll be able to cover rent before it's due..."

I try not to go in the photo gallery nowadays because it's just torture. I only have limited space for snakes at the moment so I'm terrified I'll fill my last space and see something I want a little bit more. :grin01:

I try not to go in there anymore, but I can't help but look when I post my own pictures! lol This year though, we picked up WAY too many and while we hope to sell a few I really don't want to part with any of them! Well, except maybe the evil rootbeer that keeps biting me.

I used to think that was the case.

Try being the Welcome Wagon to the new neighbors who have around 170 snakes. You find yourself going over uninvited, walking the two blocks just to say hi.....to the Z morph, the hypo pewter, and the charcoal aztec. It's one thing to drool over them as jpegs; it's something completely different to see 'em up close and personal like.
