I am wondering if this guy is a hypo cinder. He was marked het hypo and cinder. :shrugs: I do not have any experience with the cinder morph. Any and all feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Oooh that's a strong possibility. The hypos are more pinky/red like that.

But the eyes don't look right. Maybe I'm wrong though.

For Comparison

This is one of our snakes that is het for Cinder and Lava

Notice that it does have a lot of similarities to yours. Nice reds with miami influence. But yours has a decided lack of black, and then there is the eyes on yours. I'd definitely say there is something else involved, and it looks likely to be Ultramel or Hypo. It is possible that one or both of the parents had some unknown hets that actually paired up to either. It happens quite frequently.

Thought I'd throw these in this thread too. Now see these were marked as het cinder, amel, ultra, motley, PH's hypo, anery, stripe. But as another cs.com member and I were discussing thru email they can't be het both ultra and amel nor motley and stripe. Three of these looked kinda homo cinder to me. But I'm just not sure. I am keeping a pair of each *het cinder, lava. the mulit hets. and then I have some that are het cinder and lavender* Again thanks in advance to any feedback.

I'd say that guy might be a hypo, but is definately not a hypo cinder. Hypo cinders are pink and white - properly pink, think drawn by a little girl pink :)

A lot of our het cinders have that pale head thing going on.

Here is a hypo cinder. His irides are blue and pupils are pretty much normal. They seemed a little more red when he was a hatchling.

I have two yearling hypo-cinders...they look nothing like yours..check out the pics on our website of Pebbles and Bam-Bam. Cinders are notorious for taking on different shades, but the eyes are different. Regardless, you have a nice looking animal.

I'm glad to hear you say that a lot of your hets have that faded look on their heads.

Thanks for the pic! I can see the difference in the eyes.
