I guess I can't help myself. I have to post pics of the eggs I came home to today. It's my first clutch in a looong time, and my first planned one ever (I used to be an evil cohabitator). It's this girl's first clutch ever, so I was psyched to find 20 eggs, 19 of which look very good. In the perlite pic, you can see the questionable one squished between two good ones at the bottom of the photo. I'm throwing in a pic of Dad too. Despite being a little smallish, he was very enthusiastic in contributing to this endeavor. :D

Mom's a Coral Snow; Dad's a Ghost. We'll see if poor, deflated Corina's really homo for hypo.

Thanks guys. :)

She just scarfed down a well deserved weaned mouse. About a month ago she weighed 380g. Today she weighs 257g. I knew this took a lot out of them, but I never weighed snakes in the old days, so this amount of weight loss was shocking. She gains weight like crazy though, so I'm sure she'll bounce right back. :)

Congrats Dean!!!
Are you going to have a list for this clutch? You know how big of a fan of that Ghost I am.
Thanks Trevor. That's a good question. I'm not certified to ship, so I didn't have any listing plans. The only other clutch I have planned is another Coral Snow x Ghost pairing, but with the ghost being the female in that pair. I'd planned to try to sell them locally, but I'm worried by the low sell rate I see at local pet stores. The one near me has had a group of 6-7 month old ghosts and snows that have been there since they were just out of egg. I may have to look into getting certified real soon. I don't really need 30-40 keeper ghosts. :grin01: If I do get certified, consider yourself first on the list for this clutch (no obligation, of course). :)

Congrats, It seems we are all getting eggs all at once! That ghost is gorgeous. I hope you do get certified, it's not that hard just time consuming to jump through fed ex's hoop course. I did last year, I ended up selling mostly locally but I did ship a snake.

That's wonderful Dean. :) Do you expect any more clutches this year?

Good job Dean!!!!! When we got our first clutch i was worse then an expectant dad....lol. IT IS AN AWESOME FEELING!! B.T.W. We have a Ghost that looks just like yours. Nice pink/salmon blotches.
Jay & PJ

Awesome Dean! I'm glad to see that someone else used pearlite too. Good luck on the clutch!! Papa looks very proud. You should get some nice ghosts from those two if she proves out! Man I'd love to see what he throws. You'll have to let me know when they hatch. ;)

Thanks for the nice comments. :)

Thanks Hana. I only have one more clutch expected. Basically the same genetics as this one, except the genders are reversed (i.e. female ghost, male coral snow). That female ghost should be doing her pre-lay shed any minute. :)

Thanks Catherine. In the old days I used vermiculite, but I never liked using it. I always worried about the eggs being in contact with such a damp medium. We'll see how this goes. Murphy willing, I'll be posting pics of the hatchlings in about two months. Gotta get off my butt and get FedEx certified...

Hey it's going on almost 6 months for me. I was about halfway there when my rep was either fired, decided to quit, or abducted by aliens (read: disappeared") and with it my information too. Now I have to start the whole process over again... Grrr...
