I have a creamscicle(?) corn and a ghost(?) corn. (I think that's what they are anyway, can't remember exactly) My cream is 2 years and my ghost is 1 year. I did not pay attention to what sex they were when I got them, and now I have noticed lately, several times, the "paper rattling" if you know what I mean. LOL This has been going on for the past three weeks it seems. Last night I caught them at it at least once.
So, does this always result in a pregnancy? How long before I would know for sure? I never gave any thought to breeding and now I'm freaked out that there might be eggs. I have a huge aquarium that I keep them in, they have two hides, a huge water dish, and currently have newspaper down. I did have aspen bedding but ran out and haven't had a chance to get more yet. Both snakes are very healthy and eat well and shed well. I have had them since they were babies. What kinds of things do I need if I notice one snake looks like there are eggs? What can I do with all the babies if I have some? I'm thinking I can sell them to a pet store, but they are two different morphs so I'm not sure how the babies would turn out. Help! I need advice from those that have experience.
 
I would separate them NOW! Cornsnakes should not be kept together. If you don't have another tank, you can divide the one you have in two. Your snakes are too young to have eggs. Even if the female is the cream.
If there will be eggs I hope the female can pass them. If you think you can't find homes for the babies, you can always throw away the eggs. If not, you'll need an incubator. Be sure you label the babies as 'hybrid' because a cream is a hybrid. The babies will all be normals het. amel, anery and hypo, unless the parents have hidden hets.
I also would go to the vet to have the sexes checked.

You can also do a search on the forum, there are a lot of questions you asked that are already answered a dozen times in other topics.

You have a two year old and a one year old, cohab'd and possibly mating? Oh that is a big NO NO! First off, cohabing is NEVER a good idea.

1. Do a search on Google for cannibal snake pics. This is always a possibility. Especially when you have two snakes of different ages and possibly different sizes.

2. Another reason Cohabing is bad is for the reason you mentioned. They could be different sexes, resulting in unknown/wanted eggs. Not to mention that a one and two year old are way too young for breeding and the complications that could occur, may be fatal.

3. Snakes in the wild are solitary animals, only coming together in during the breeding season. Forcing two snakes, to live together is causing them a tremendous amount of stress.

4. Let's say that one of your snakes got sick? How would you know for sure which one it is, if you have them toghether. Let's say it's a potentially contagious and life threatening illness. Now the chances of your second snake become ill/infected has grown ten fold.

You need to set up a second viv and seperate those snakes, yesterday. Also, have them sexed by a vet or by an experienced breeder/keeper.

If you have eggs there are a few people on here from NC that would/might take them in and raise them. Where in NC are you?

The tank I have is a 50 gal, pretty big. So if I devide it in half it would be plenty of room for both snakes. How can I divide it? It has a sliding top that clicks into place.
The guy at Lost World Reptiles said I could keep them together, just not when they are really young. So I waited until my youngest was almost a year before putting them together. I also thought we had two males. It would just kill me if the female got preggers and then couldn't get the eggs out. :(
 
Instead of going through all the trouble of dividing the 50gallon. Just set one up in a sterelite tub. Cheaper and quicker to do.
 
I would leave the creamsicle (female) in the 50 and let it be her home forever. I would go to Petco or Petsmart and and get a 20long for the Ghost (male) last time I looked it was 50-60 dollars. If you are successful dividing the tank it will drive the Male crazy every year knowing that there's a female right beside of him. Dividing the tank can be done with plexiglass and caulk. If it's not perfect the male will cross or get stuck and injured. It needs to be measured exact and cut even better.
As for the eggs....You might have problems and you might not. She will eat up to the point the eggs prevent her from passing the food through her body. Then she will go blue/shed. After she sheds it's about 10 or so days and you get eggs. However this isn't always the case some lay when shedding. You can see and feel the eggs in her when the time is close to having them. You need a laying box in the 50 gallon with her when you see she is getting close. It consists of a tupperware, glad, ziploc, rubbermaid box with perlite, vermiculite, or long haired sphagnum moss in it that is moist to the touch but not dripping wet. Most of the items can be purchased at Wal-mart or Lowes Hardware. If you get eggs we will help you with them and their set up. This is just to get you started if you have eggs on the way.
 
We divided our tank and it did not go well. They seemed to always find a way over the top even though we swore they could not fit! We put our males and females in two different tanks. Our local pet store as yours did, said we could put snakes together as long as we kept them same sex. So far no issues and no one has gotten sick. We clean the tanks often and always hold and inspect the corns. Good luck!
