Unnamed - Creamsickle (I think...) [Progression]

I've got another update on this little beauty.
He has shed again since my last update, and we also had a gorgeous, sunny day on April 25th, so I took the snakes out for some fresh air.
So Here's my GFs RO, Waldo, deep in blue, enjoying the weather.

She's gorgeous, and so big! I just LOVE her coloration... So bright, even when she was just itty bitty! =)

She does have a "reverse okeetee" look to her... Though, if she was originally sold to you as a creamsicle, you should play it safe and treat her like one. In other words, don't breed her unless you're going to breed her to another Emoryi hybrid (creamsicle, rootbeer) and sell all the babies as hybrids. Even if the seller said "Amel" the second time you asked, he may have been trying to clarify that the morph was amel--not necessarily that the snake itself was pure corn snake.

you might want to consider putting her back into the 30. That is much to big...

What makes you say that? Doesn't look too big to me... Unless you mistook the g's in "PS, she is now a whopping 110g! Up from 30g about 5 months ago." as gallons.. If so, she was talking about the snake's weight--it was about 30 grams at the start of the progression thread. :shrugs:

The enclosure looks great. It looks like she makes use of the space, too!

i knew it was gallons.

Is that a long tank or a tall tank? There is a big difference. I would say its OK if it is a tall but if it is a long its way to big for a corn of that size. most corns as adults are in 20 gal. tanks.

and some more stuff

Repi carpet is very had to clean up when they go poo on it

Wood cages don't get very much heat from the UTH

That screen you have over the light inside is not enough to stop a burn. From the picture it looks like the cheap mesh they use in kids butterfly nets.

This cage was designed from a reptile zoo that we go to regularly in Ottawa My corn is 110grams that is, she loves the big tank. We made it that big so that we will never have to change the enclosure, its 4 fT long 2 ft wide and 2 ft tall. there is a under pad heater on the same side as the light and we also made a dimmer that was posted on the site, we monitor the temps daily. She is getting quite big and i only had a 10 gallon tank before and that was not cutting it anymore. Also she is not on repti carpet. Its coco husk ( dirt in blocks that u expand ) the wood is stained and also sealed so that it doesnt get water damaged. i also made sure that she has lots of places to hide Because i know the tank is a little big for now. Just want to make sure she is comfortable, plus to make a tank like this is around 100.00$ to buy one is around 400.00$

PS the screen is not cheap mesh, its the small hole heavy duty screen. But my little baby never seems to go on top of the hide on that side she loves to hide underneath the hide. Thats why her name is Waldo lol and I recently found out that she is a female, but that always seems to be the case with me, I always name my animals from the wrong sex lol not on purpose. Thanks for all the great comments! I alway like to show her off but no one around here likes snakes lol so its nice to talk to all you guys on here.

oh, it looked like repi carpet.

Ok, i misunderstood, and i suppose some others did. i thought it was 110 gallon tank...

Direct contact between the snake and the light (which could happen even with that netting) could cause a burn on the snake. it doesn't have anything to do with temps, even though it is good that you are monitoring temps.

ty guys for all the nice comments, to clarify she's female lol i thought she was male when we first got her so I named her Waldo turns out its female

Girlfriend is a little busy, so I'll post these for her.
Had to test the camera out on this little beauty.
