Hi!
I have built my viv and it is 120cm x 40cm x 50cm
Length width H
Is that too big???I am worried that my beloved corn will be scared too live in it, he's only a hatchling.

I am going to use mesh over the ventilation holes.Should i use metal mesh or plastic?? I have heard that they rub their noses raw on matel mesh.

That's a big tank.

47" long, ~16" w, and ~19" tall.

You'll be okay as long as you use lots of hides---at least that's what they say anything. Common advice is to use things so that the snake can get from one side of the viv to the other without being out in the open.

Fake plants and such will help. Perhaps you could build in a tunnel system or something from one side to the other. That'd be interested to do, anyway.

I'd use a fine screen mesh over the ventilation holes---definitely not metal. A home improvement store should have some replacement screen mesh that would be perfect. Just make sure it's soft on your fingers.
