I am a begineer in keeping snakes.Currently having a jurassic cornsnake. At the moment now,i am using wood beddings, but intend to change to fine sand (with no calcium in it)as beddings. Will that be harmful to my snake? Will the sand enter it's nostril? If the both the beddings are not good, what beddings should i use?:p

I have never heard of a "Jurassic cornsnake" lol.

DO NOT USE SAND. It can be very harmful to your snake.

Wood chip or aspin would be a very good substrate for you.
A lot of people use kitchin roll or news paper, but manly only people with lots of snakes use this because its cheap and easy to replace.

Cheers
Alex

ASPEN is a type of tree. You can go to almost any petstore and ask for shredded aspen bedding. Sand really is a bad choice, it looks nice but won't do any favors to your little pet and will be expensive and hard to clean. There's also some debate as to whether pine is a bad choice, but I don't recommend taking the chance.
