Weird things your snake does

Sometimes after about an hour or two of turning my snakes lamp off at night, if my bedroom light is still on, my snake will poke his head out of hide and just stare at me until I turn my bedroom light off.

My blood red has a similar fascination with my face. I hold him about a foot away at eye level and he amazes me with stretching 75% of himself straight out to challenge me to a staring contest. He never loses. I'm starting to believe he has some kind of unfair advantage....

Yeah that is so funny they go like a poker on a mission lol

My snake loves playing with his pinky before he eats them. He will grab the pinky by the backside (usually the tail and a foot), dip the pinky in his water bowl (which I change afterwards) and rubs it along the second half of his body. Then he will carry it to the top of the viv with him, then go over to his cool hide and begin the swallowing process. If he's feeling lazy, he will just rub it on him really quick and gulp it down.

Haha, my boy does this too. I'll turn his light off and keep my bedside one on to read a quick chapter and he comes out of the hide and looks at me like, "if I don't get light, you don't either. Go to bed."

This may sound really weird, but I had my snake out and around my neck. I was sitting at my computer watching Adventure Time and all of a sudden, she looked at the monitor...and then just proceeded to stare at it for the next 5 minutes until the episode was over. I asked if she liked Adventure Time, but of course, she didn't reply. Snakes can't talk, duh.

My hatchling just recently started to come out of its hides and lay around in the open so I can see him! . For decoration I placed a vigorously washed General Lee hotwheels car inside. I routinely watch is every day it's in another place but not flipped over hahha

Nice - gotta love a snake that appreciates 'shiners! Next thing you know he'll be hissing with an accent...

Hahaha oh my god I walked in on him mid push with the car, I'm
Going to set up a camera and post it here hahaha this is hilarious. He might be going into shed and he likes the texture of the car.

Yup I was right, he's in shed gotta leave em be for a bit, It's weird, his eyes don't typically get that blue, but he has full sheds, eats every week, and poops, so I'm not concerned haha

My hatchling will stick her head out of the hide in the middle of the day and sit there looking around the room for 10-20 minutes, then yawn and go back to sleep. Cutest thing ever!!

I let angel roam n the bed earlier today it is the first time she has had free roam, and she pooped on my husbands side of the bed. I couldn't help but laugh. Then when i went to put her back in her viv she managed to find her way int my t-shirt. It really tickled lol

That's such a good idea! Need to find something with wheel to put in with cleo hehe.

Cleo will burrow under the aspen, and then occasionally poke her head out, look around, then carry on burrowing. Here's a pic!

Snickers follows me across his cage! Also, every single time I get out my camera, I'll go to aim at him, and I see these big fly eyes so close that he touches his nose to the lens! He's so cute.

My oldest corn, Lilly, loves my hair and glasses. If I have a ponytail in she will either burrow under it or wrap herself around it and then place her head on mine to watch the world. Often when I have her out she goes with me to change her water and whatnot. She's pretty chill about it. She also loves to go through my glasses. She's an odd duck...I mean snake :grin01:
