I put an ad on craigslist locally to get some more adult corns, and found this awesome lot. The owner said one was a pewter, one was a caramel, one was a devils garden phase, and not sure what the other 2 are. The are obviously albino x something, any idea what they could be?

Only cost me 125 bucks, so whatever they are, I think it was worth it!

I also picked up a low white pied sided bloodred as well, will get pics of him when I get home. I am at my dirty freakin job now, so the snakes are hanging out in pillow cases till 6:30 am

First one definitely looks like a candy cane, and the second is most likely a light amel (possibly a butter? :shrugs: ). They do look a bit thin, though.
All in all GREAT pickups! I can't wait to see the pied-sided!

I agree they look pretty thin. The 2nd one has a lot more yellow than the first, so hopefully butter bino or something!

I have plenty frozen mice to load these guys up on, they will be sexy in a few months :dancer:

That is one nice candy cane. I agree that the pewter is highly suspect. It does not look like a pewter. I vote for anery mot, as well. Even the caramel looks more like a normal het caramel to me, but it can be hard to tell without seeing them in person.

These are just guesses from what I see in the photos, I'd say...

1.Orange Candy Cane

2.Creamsicle

3.Normal

4.Anery Motley

5.Caramel

Your "pewter" looks more like an anery motley, methinks.

It does look like there is a motley gene in play...

I would like to hear some more opinions on this, like I said, they came off craigslist, so there is NO telling where, or what they came from

I would say with almost 100% certainty that it's an Anery Motley. It's eye color looks bluish, definitely too light to be charcoal, as well as too much yellow down the neck. Plus with the pattern being striped on the side, and having conjoined saddles, it looks to be a Motley instead of Diffuse.
So I would conclude Anery Motley, definitely not a pewter, but still very nice looking. That is a really good deal too, so long as none are sick, carrying parasites, etc.. They are a little thin, so I hope they eat well for you too.

Congrats though, and good luck!

1. candy cane
2. Light butter???
3. normal
4. a VERY thin ghost moltey
5. Carmel moltey? moltey? normal moltey?

1. Candy Cane (Amel)
2. Butter? (Poor lighting to be certain on what it is)
3. Normal
4. Anery Motley (not Pewter)
5. Caramel

I thought it was illegal to keep any corns in your state.. Maybe I am reading that wrong..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

I have never heard of them being illegal. Every pet store out here sells them, even the chain shops. Do you have a link?

I must be thinking of another Southern State.. My mind must be playing tricks on me.. *LOL* My bad..

Yeah... I think you lucked out!! Congrats!

And... my 2 cents and humble opinion... #2 is a butter. A better pic of it would probably help out lots.

I actually think that you more than lucked out... you hit a corn jackpot! LOL.
