What are you listening to?

I've been listening to Vampire Weekend ever since Rhapsody introduced me to them. Paul Simon meets Ska...that's the genre IMHO. The name does not fit the band, I wish they has a more mainstream sounding name...they are pretty cool.

Also, Michael Buble gets a lot of play-time...and when I am not listening to those two, I am listening to Jack Johnson.

I keep ordering CD's on Amazon and they keep suggesting Vampire Weekend.. Constantly.. It's actually borderline annoying lol Maybe I should give them a try.

Cool JeniDB, Flyleaf and All that Remains---part of my Christian rock collection...love them!
Haven't heard Vampire Weekend yet..need to look it up yet...I am a Vampire nut

They have grown on me. I would suggest listening to them on youtube as much as possible before you commit.

I have an account wtih Rhapsody. If you don't know, with that service, you pay a flat monthly fee to be able to listen to any song at any time...however, after 5 years of paying for this service, you have nothing to show for it at the end. In other words, you don't buy any of the music...so you don't own the MP3s. instead, you license the right to listen to anytyhing at any time...

I have the Rhapsody to Go service, which lets me put music on an approved device. Every 30 days, I have to plug that device into my PC to renew the license...

In the short term, Rhapsody is cool in that you get every song available at any time. Buying EVERY song would be cost prohibitive. I like Rhapsody, and have been a member for about 5 years now. I plan to start buying music though. Having the ability to listen to anything at any time is cool and all...but like I said, after 5 years...I could have spent that money on songs that I own forever...

The more I find myself listening to the same things over and over...the less appealing Rhapsody becomes. It is great however if you like to always listen to the newest stuff...
