What hot would you like to own?

I would like one of those rattle snakes that are white with little spots all over them. I am sure they had blue eyes too... someone on here has a couple.

Gaboon Viper, for me. That's been on my list forever.

I don't know what the law says, but I also find coral snakes to be VERY beautiful!

i change my mind i want that!!!

I'm becoming more and more interested in sea kraits/sea snakes (which of course, I could never hope to own). I'm reading Harry W. Greene's book about snakes and came across an image of the Turtle-Headed Sea Snake from Australia. Its venom is mild compared to other sea snakes and I'm struggling to find any decent pictures or information about it online. I think it's beautiful. Here is the only image I could find:

I also really like Boomslangs, especially when they have a blue-green colouration.

my gosh thats prob one of the prettiest snakes i have ever seen in my life

Ermia mangshanensis (or what ever group it's now in) would be great.
Or any Atheris.
As far as hairy bush vipers go (another Atheris) I don't think anyone has managed to keep one alive yet, but if you could I love one as well, Oren.

Now this thread has me thinking about what hots I would like to own. (not that I WOULD own any. Don't trust myself with them, period.)

That was the point. It's about what you would like if all conditions were perfect including your trust in yourself. I don't plan to own hots for the same reason you gave, but there are some gorgeous hot snakes and it's nice to fantasize and look at beautiful pictures! So what's your fantasy hot?

Hmmm... well then, Russels Vipers look nice. And copperheads, definitely! Oh! And pygmy rattlers are gorgeous.

Copperheads! Love them. Probably one of my favs, and almost reasonable to own as they are not expensive and have relatively easy environmental requirements. After all, they are found in the same areas as my beloved cornsnakes. And not as lethal, either. Not that I am disrespecting the danger, but that they are less deadly than some of the most deadly hots.

I have a hot list!

African Bush Viper, they look like little dragons to me!

Haha, I have or am getting a lot of the stuff on the list ^_^ Friend has both bitis locked up right now, and his friend has some Bush Vipers. I guess I want a Luci atrox

100% off topic, but that snake's eye looks like the cover of Iron Maiden's Brave New World

i would love a cute little monocled cobra.

i have a soft spot for rattlers, my first was a baby helleri i got at the lancaster show when i lived in pa. she was just normal but was awesome. pretty laid back for a rattler but you never took your eyes off her.
