What is my corn doing?

R00K

Tap or Snap!
Hey all
I placed some wood in my corns viv lastnight. I came out to get a drink of water around midnight and found him sitting like this ....

What is he doing? He was like that for quite a long time. Even after I snapped the picture. I finally started to get worried and got closer to see if I could help. He then seemed to snap outta whatever trance he was in and curled up on the branch like this...

It looks like he might be trying to stretch to reach the top of the viv. Especially if it was the first time there was anything for him to climb on that would let him get higher up. Mine will climb on her branches and keep herself upside down for minutes at a time exploring the lid on her viv.
BTW, I really like his coloration. Very vibrant!

He was actually stretched parallel with the top. He didn't move or even smell for almost five minutes. I started to worry. Looked like he was stuck. I joked later it looked like he threw his back out and a got stuck there.
I love watching him climb. I use the "Handymans Secret Weapon", clear duct tape, to keep the top on. A couple well placed peices makes it impossible to budge. It even acts as hinges when you need to open the top and keep it nearby.

Nothing to worry about. They can be pretty damn determined to find an opening or weak spot in the lid. I've got a large GPR in a 55 gal that does the same thing. She'll stretch over 2/3rds of her body straight out and just hover.

I still need to name my corn. I wonder if I can find a name out of this. Would be helpfull if I knew the sex.

Just give it a unisex name and that solves the problems!

hmmm...
Liberty (as in "held high" ball of fire).....
or Sergeant (standing at attention).....
or ummmm well, I'll get back to ya on that one!

:shrugs:

:wavey:

I was creating avatars out of these pics. I sent them to a friend and he asked if I named the snake "avatar". The files were named avatar and avatar2.
What do you think? The meaning is all wrong but it sounds nice.

Hunter sat like that for a couple hours last night LOL.. think he fell asleep like that, then I moved closer to go to bed and he snapped around to look at me.. and follow me across the room with his eyes hehe... hes super cute =) Treasure on the other hand has never looked for an escape route hehe.. hes just a happy snake!

Stewie (still don't know the sex) has been acting really strange too, hes been climbing to the top of his viv using the thermostats/thermometres probes.
