If you're not really thrilled about "thwacking" as you put it, you're probably not going to like having to stun or kill your mice before feeding later. I've been feeding live right now to mine since he's still in the fuzzy stage, but I'm going to try to change him over to F/T later. Since he was new for me, I wanted to make sure that he was a good feeder before I tried going frozen. He is a great eater, so I may start soon on the frozen stuff. Other herps I know stun or kill their mice or rats before feeding. You might have to buckle down and do that if yours won't feed on f/t.
