Some of you may be remembering a time when the mod team really cracked down on the use of colorful language, but we have been told to let the small stuff pass. One or two members were in that gray area recently in at least one thread, but I refrained from moderating it because I had made several posts in that thread myself and could not moderate in a completely unbiased manner. I would rather have one of the other mods take the reins instead in that particular case. Dean made this thread. Mike and Jeff have remained silent (by the way, is Mike even still alive?).

And as some of you have mentioned, if threads like that are not your cup of tea, don't read them! There is a reason I stay away from the DYK thread, and often, the political ones just get a glance. I just couldn' resist some of the recent ones...the material posted by some was just too good not to read!

I'm going to bed now, and then will be getting ready for Daytona tomorrow. Dean...I will be eagerly awaiting my hug...but you should know that hubby has a carry permit....

Because if you are, I was NOT referring to you, but rather, to MYSELF!! I closely resemble the remark of being a whiny bitch but I don't let being called that get to me anymore. You really need to stop taking every comment made as being directed at you personally.
 
And if a moderator is going to close this thread, it will have to be one that isn't involved or else we would be chastised by the mob for doing so.
 
Sorry to interrupt the pandas and other warm fuzzies occuring in the thread now, but I want to take a minute to say that I am sincerely sorry for my attack against Snakemom and anyone else that I took out my frustrations upon. It was unfair, unjust, and just plain mean spirited. I have a wicked temper, and sometimes it's difficult for me to reign it in, especially if I feel that friends are being attacked. Regardless of the trigger, I should not have said the things I did, so again, I apologize. It may not be accepted, and that's ok, too...but that doesn't change the fact that my own actions were inappropriate.
