What's the True Average?

All over the internet, the only answer to the question "What is the size of an average corn snake?" is 3-6 feet. 3-6 feet isn't an average, it's a range! So to the people who have owned dozens of these snakes, what is your opinion on the average length of a corn snake?

About four and a half feet.

Or you could take the median of the 3-6 feet range, which would be five feet.

EDIT: err. no hang on, the median would be four and a half as well. To think I passed a Stats exam last year...!

LOL 5 feet is no way the average size of a corn! I think there has never been a 6 feet corn so far (measured). I think I do remember one way over 5 feet on this forum though.

From my experience my corns are pretty large compared to all the designer/top notch ones I saw at other breeders places. And mine average 3,75 feet I think.... maybe going to 4 a bit, but really not way larger.

That's so short, 42 inch! Those are the ones I see at other breeders places... it does confirm my idea that snakes with a higher inbred percentage (newer morphs) are smaller on average....

Well, the question was average, not biggest! Even Pepper, who is almost 600 grams, is not as long as I am tall. 62". But really- that was just a guess. I could have just as easily said 48".

There are lots of 6ft corns. Snakes grow (albeit smaller amounts in adulthood) every year. Does anyone have a picture of desertanimal's Scout?

Are you sure? That's about 2 meter.... can't remember seeing one that size ever, in real life or a photo.
I am trying SO HARD to find the picture of him where you can see his immense size, but I've failed, sorry >:

But yeah he's either 6ft or darn close to it and 900-1000g I believe.

I haven't measured Scout's length in a long time and don't really know how long he is, but he's certainly on the large end of the spectrum. I'll try to do it tonight.

I had one pushing high 5 or 6 she was 950 grams... a real beast!

Now, my 4 yr old male is about 660 grams after I cut back on his food. he was getting large...
