What's the True Average?

I had one pushing high 5 or 6 she was 950 grams... a real beast!

I can beat that, LOL... my 12 year-old girl Dash is around five feet, and weighed over 1100g last time I weighed her. I just adopted her in December, so I am not responsible for her obesity. ;) But as for the average, my other adult corns are around 4ft and 400-600g.

Here's Dash the beast:

Sure there are some 6' corns out there..

I also remember seeying a huge Amel from Vinny here on the forum.

On average I would say 4' (120 cm) is very standard.

I was hoping Marcel would show us his big snake!!

:roflmao::grin01: :sidestep:

Sorry, coudn't resist.
I seem to remember Traci (??) Having a huge snake as well, maybe he just looked so huge cause she was so small! I think he was a Creamsicle though..

i'd also go for around 4' for an average. The biggest corn I've had was around 4.5' so no monsters here :)

Our largest corn is 54" or more, but on average I'd say a little over four feet for adult females, slightly less for males.

Scout is only 5 feet long. He weighed 1017g at the beginning of June, but I'd like to get that down some, as you can see he's a tad squishy at the back end. (The number you can't read at the upper left says 59.6, and the unit of measurement is inches.)

Okay, and when Scout was at my house I was only feeding him every two weeks!! I tried very hard not to make him fat!!!

I know, Nanci. To keep him at this weight I have to feed him only once a month! Anything more and he puts on weight! It's amazing.

Not having very many adults I've never 'seen' the real average I've hoped for a 6 footer ;) I've always felt that Phinius was pretty big for a corn, if he is or not I wouldn't know. Having Cats splaying him out for a ground picture then doing snake measurer would be tough, maybe if I take him the the basement.

I do have a pic of the 4 of my kids holding him when they were 3 years old (he is a july 05 snakity, the date on the photo is 6/11/07 so phinius was 'almost' 2)

I always wanted to do THAT photo over again w/ Phinius so, :dancer: behold my camera phone magic ;)

The kids are now 6 years old (to give an indicator of their size, the 3 that are even in height are 49" tall)

Then since I cannot at this time use a program to measure phinius I decided to have them hold a measuring tape similar to how they were holding phinius (this was their idea, so I went with it ;) )

we got 51" at the end of the last hand.

It occurred to me since I have a flexible fabric tape measure I 'could' have gotten an approximate measurement of Phinius that way :smash:

You can actually align the tape measure with Phinius if he cooperates a bit and then measure it, that is how I measure mine :)

;) yep, I'm going to give this a try perhaps after dinner today. I'm sure he will cooperate, he's a pretty chill snake, as one can see I trust him w/ my kiddo's.

He was a pretty grumpy (bitey) fellow when I had a in season female in the rack, but now that I dont, he's back to his ol' mellow ways :dancer:
