Yea, its an hour early but the Wife can't stand in lines for to long ( damn knee's, who needs them after you mangle them.. ).. Big Dogs T shirt, and a green one at that.. Catch ya there Hobbit, err Trevor, and everyone else too!!!

Regards.. TandJ

....so basically....

....any mean, pissed-off looking people I see I should just approach and say, Hi, are you from cornsnakes.com? :sidestep:

Well I pretty well just got home, long day.. Needless to say I came home with a couple more corns than I really needed to. I got the Butter that Kathy sent along with Mr. "Kathy" Love... I also came home with an Ultramel from Steve Little, this is the third or fourth show I have gone to an ran into him, and third or fourth show that I came home with something from his table.. I just wish I would have grabbed the "Special" Ghost from CornUtopia's table when I first got there.. What a beautiful little snake that was.. Fantastic! Ran into Trevor there, got him hooked up with another High Desert Herper.

A bit of a drive for me but I was excited as a kid in the Candy Store for the first time, and a good time was had wandering around looking at what ever caught my fancy...

Regards....

I had fun at the show today too - even though I am in Florida!

My brother had customers and visitors calling me from the table on the cell phone all day long! I got to talk to almost as many people as if I were actually there. This is the first time I ever telecommuted to a show! It was strange, but fun, and I had some very interesting conversations.

I really want to be there in person next year!

I was standing there while one of those transactions took place.. The girl bought that Special ghost I was drooling over... Ah well, I got the only butter from the table... *G*

Regards..

Oddly enough I did not find what I needed. I had to suffice for a Normal Het ghost female ball and a normal female from Bell. I like what I got but was bummed that the couple of corns that I needed were not to be had. Met some cool people though.

That is the funny part~!~~ They were pretty basic things... I wanted yearling and up (I know that is the kicker) .1 amel stripe, .1 ghost motley or pastel motley. There were very few stripes to be had at all and the same for ghost motleys (even less). I know that I was looking for a rough shot but I was hoping I would at least find one of the two. I talked with stephen and he was having the same kind of day (not much oooohh aaaaahhhh)

There were just not as many corns there this year as there was last year. There were quite a few there~ but not the kinds of numbers as last year. And not as many as there were BPs. There were BPs EVERYWHERE! HIGH END animals at almost every table!

I actually didn't come home with anything. I was this close (Hold your thumb ON your forefinger~ thats how close!) to buying a pair of Blue Tree Monitors (for WAY more money than I had~ would have been a credit card purchase to pay off for a year!) but the vendor had 3 customers there trying to buy them when I finally made up my mind so I missed out! (I kind of think thats a good thing~ what kind of fool purchase would that have been for an amatuer to decide I needed to spend that kind of money on two TINY monitors I'd have probably killed in a week!)

My sister bought a Sulcatta Tortoise. No~ she doesn't know how to take care of it~ and niether do I! (But it was some friends of ours that sold it to her and they have promiced to educacate us!) It's my SISTERS tortoise (That she bought while I wasn't looking because I kept telling her I didn't know what to DO with a turtle that was going to get THAT big!) ~ but I"m pretty sure I'll be buying leafy green veggies everyday from now on~ and when it's big enough I'll be the one who has to turtle proof the yard! Is'nt that the way it always is?!?!

Good show!

Didn't get to get anything (would have loved to come home with a beardy...and a leucistic rat snake...and anouther corn or two) but I'm in the middle of moving, so it wouldn't be fair to buy anything right now really...allthough I think I've gotten the boyfriend to finally break down and let me get a few more critters once we move...hehehehehe

.....buuut...

I did get to get attacked by a grumpy Leucistic Rat Snake...lol

And I got to hug an Alligator!!!

*Sorry...easily amussed*

Well, I didn't get there until about 2 p.m. until my kids' soccer games were done, but I didn't come home with anything either :(

Cheryl, I did see you and your gang near a table on my way out with the tree boas but didn't want to barge in your fun.

I loved looking at the snakes at Kathy's table. Saw a really pretty hypo okee with a ziggy pattern and was tempted by a pretty charcoal (which I never thought I would like so much). Even wanted to take home a pretty hypo blood. But I knew hubby would kill me when I couldn't make this month's preschool tuition for my son but I had a purdy new snake :eek1:

Like Cheryl said, I was dissappointed that there weren't as many corns. Aw well. Had fun none the less.

Kathy, it was great that you were so available at your table (via phone). It was just like you were there! Bill and the other gentleman there helping were very accommodating.

Jenn...neat, but dangerous, pic ! (Grin)

Babba...it IS a funny feeling to come home from a show without another corn..lol ! We have a local show once a month (Dave-DanD and Casey Hulce are regular vendors)....and it's damn hard for me to come home without another snake :grin01: The way I manage is I don't go to it every month...the will power is tiny when it comes to passing up all the "pretties".

The Gator was well behaved, nice pic Jenn.. It was well worth the trip down from the desert for this one. Although I am paying for it today, damn diverticulitus decides to flair, esh..

I would have liked to seen the Special Ghost you held back Kathy, the one at the table was one of the finest examples I had ever seen for a ghost. I did get your newer book, I think that is one of the books that gets lightly read. Bill was very helpful concerning the questions I had, and your brother is a joker..

Yes, I certainly agree with a lot of the people that posted here, a lot of high end BP morphs to be had, not many corns that intrested me though. Most seemed to be run of the mill petstore qaulity ( not that there is anything wrong with those, great pets and great starting points ). I was also looking for a nive clean regular king, and I could not find one I was happy with, but I did find some MexMex, but by that time I was already out the money I brought and could not bring my self to go to the ATM for another $70 or so bucks. Anyone catch the Monster Retic that Prehistoric Pets had on display? Oh Momma, what a way to get rid of the neighbours pesky barking dog.. *lmao* On guess I that note I should get out of here for now..

Regards... TandJ

HMM.... maybe it would be worth while to set up a table next year if not too many are "doing" corns. Those tables sure are expensive though, and how can I compete with Kathy and Joe? Well I guess I have a year to think about it! Hopefully you can make it next year too Kathy, I missed you last year because of a Hurricane. I've arleady forgotten what it's name was. :shrugs:

"...Saw a really pretty hypo okee with a ziggy pattern..." (babbaloo99)

That's funny - I think that is the same baby that Connie Hurley liked so well and "almost" took home from the Daytona show. Oh well, maybe I will take it to the Chicago show and successfully tempt Connie this time, since she will be on her own home turf!

The Anaheim show sounds really great! Hurricane or no (knock on wood!), I sure don't want to miss it next year!

I"m sure my boyfriend would be thrilled if I used my half of a months rent to make it out to one of those other shows...hehehe....so Kathy, I hope you make it out to Anaheim next year...because I'd love to meet you! :) And I wish I had been able to say hello to other folks here as well. I was in such a giddy whirlwind it was hard to talk to me though. Like a little kid, I was dragging Adrian around by the hand..."Look at this! Oooooh, how pretty, check this one out! Isn't that cute? That's what Pumpkin looked like as a baby!!!' Ooooooh!"

Aww man. I did so good. Didn't buy a thing. I wanted to but I had no money to spare. And because of my compulsive nature when it comes to reptiles, I had vendors asking me, "so... can I talk you into buying a mate for that one I sold you in pomona." I had to scream NO and run. I also saw an awesome snake called a Mexican Night Snake. They mature at around the same size as a corn, from what the vendor said, but he showed me a month old hatchling and it was 24 inches long. I had to scream NO and run from him too. Tim got to hear me repeatedly say "OK, I gotta get goin now." Only to see me again 5 minutes later, gawking at more herps. Needless to say, I got to the family reunion late, with a bright green wristband that let all of the family know why crazy snakeguy Trev. had missed out on 2 hours worth of chex mix and chit-chat.

I actually saw Jennro but did not know ya, I saw stephen, Bill L. and I think that is all that I knew I saw from here. I missed everyone else lol!
I think that i may set up a table next year too. Wee will see.
